"So are you guys ready to record today?!" Mathew asked us enthusiastically.
"Yep!" I smiled. I actually was king of excited.
"Alright, who wants to go first?" Marsha asked.
"Me!" I said and jumped up and down with my hand up.
"Nobody?" Joe teased.
"ME!!" said louder.
"Well, I guess that means I go first." Joe stepped in front of me and walked towards the booth.
I quickly walked to him and pulled him back by his shirt, and he shuffled back behind me, "Nice try." I gave him a smile. I went into the booth and closed the door behind me. I turned around and saw that Joe was laughing. I just stuck my tongue out at him.
"Alright, Demi. You know what to sing?" The studio guy asked.
"I know the lyrics to all the songs...so what song are we doing..." I looked at the guy, waiting for him to tell me his name.
"Jake."
"Jake." I answered quickly.
"You're gonna start off with 'Brand New Day'." He replied.
"Okay, got it!" I smiled with a thumb's up. I put on my headset and listened to the music. I waited for my time to sing.

The music stopped and I took off my headset, "Did I sound okay?" I asked, worried.
"Yes, you sounded amazing, Demi. We're just gonna have you take it from the top one more time. Then we'll go onto the second verse and chorus. After we have the base of the song, we'll give you a break, and then we'll have you record the echoing voice." Jake explained.
"Okay. I'm ready." I smiled. They played back the music and I recorded the first part again.
"Okay, you ready for the next part?" Mathew asked through the speaker.
I took a sip of water, "Yep." I put down my bottle and put my headset back on, and the music started up again.
