Kimberly's POV

"Loki, drop the weapon and stand down," Nat called out from the speakers in the quinjet, but I knew Loki well enough that he wasn't about to back down from a fight.

Before any of us could act, Loki sent a blast of blue energy towards the quinjet. If it was anyone other than Nat flying, they would have been hit by the blast, but Nat maneuvered the quintet out of the way of the blast. Her quick thinking bought Steve and I enough time to take on Loki without him noticing our attack.

Steve threw his shield at him, dazing Loki enough to let him punch him in the jaw. The hit had little effect on the Norse god other than angering him even more than he already was. Using his scepter, Loki hit Steve so hard that he went flying back into the wall of the fountain behind him.

Taking the opportunity of the opening that Loki had left me, I took my chance and went after the man I loved as a brother. The fact that he had his back turned, told me that he didn't see me as a threat. I knew that I should have been insulted that he thought so little of me, but that single action alone told me that Loki was in full control of his actions. We had fought side by side enough that he should have known what I was capable of.

I created a layer of ice beneath Loki and then used an icy wind blast to knock him off his feet. The moment that he started to stand back up; I used the icy ground to my advantage. I ran and slid under his legs, forming two deadly sharp icicles in my hands as I stood up behind him. I quickly grabbed hold of him and held an icicle to his throat, daring him to make a move.
