It was the last week of May when Cedric frantically stumbled into the library where Lynnea was sitting with Roger, Nova, Sander and Owen. They were all frantically trying to read up on everything before their exams, simultaneously they were practising all of their non-verbal spells. Lynnea was reading as well but she was still going through the books of the restricted section.

Her meetings with Snape had furthered her understanding of magic, non-verbal spells were not an issue at all anymore. Of course, she was trying to help her friends but it was the third run-through of her understanding of the bases of magic to help them yet none of them seemed to really get it.

"Lynn, I need your help duelling!" Cedric panted while sliding into the seat next to her.

"What, now? It's almost curfew," She said, very puzzled at the boy. Out of habit, she pushed some of his messy hair away from his face, making him grin at her. He still had a hint of that look in his eyes so she quickly retracted her hand.

"Alright, but will you help me tomorrow?" He asked with haste.

"Yeah of course, do you have to duel for the third task?" She asked but he was already on his feet again.

"I'll explain it tomorrow, need to write to Dad," He once again dashed off to god knows where. The small group of friends looked between themselves before shrugging and continuing their work.

"Come on, Ced. Baw-BILL-EE-US," Her wand was raised high in front of her, panting slightly from the strain of the spells she had been using. Lynnea was trying to teach Cedric how to use the Baubilius charm, it was easy to get down and effective as it shot out a yellow bolt of lightning.

Cedric's Hufflepuff friends, her own Ravenclaw friends along with the twins and Lee were all cheering them on as they duelled in the courtyard, with permission this time.

At breakfast, Cedric had explained to her and his friends what the third task would consist of. Therefore he was now, at lunch, in the middle of duelling her, perfecting the spells he already knew and learning others he did not.

"Easy enough for you to say! You already know the damn charm!" He shouted back as he shot a sleep charm at her.

"Ced, with the creatures Hagrid likes I wouldn't count on being able to make them fall asleep," She yelled before shooting a stunning spell beside him. Cedric then shot out the Baubilius charm and a large bolt of lightning dashed towards her, luckily she was fast enough to shield herself and the bolt jolted into the air instead.

"See Ced, it's easy!" She smiled back at the man who gave her a confident grin in return.

"Alright, Lynn we better get going," Fred suddenly yelled out with a tense voice as he scrambled to his feet. Lynnea grinned at Cedric as the two of them walked back over to their friends, an arm around her shoulders now.

Fred was glaring at Cedric, looking jealously at him as he made her laugh.

"Need to tell you something before your class starts," Fred mumbled, quickly pulling her away from Cedric and the rest of his friends as he wrapped his arm tightly around her waist, staring at the Hufflepuff the whole way through.

He pressed a kiss to her temple as the two of them walked away, Lynnea shaking her head slightly at Fred but at least he had not been mean or cruel to Cedric.
