Quaintrelle
- A woman who emphasizes a life of passion, one that encompasses such fullness of life that it can at times appear intimidating✦✦✦✦
Lynnea feared how everything would come crashing down around her when she returned to England, of course, it would. Luckily, it would be a while before she could go home. Even after more than three weeks of magical healing with Mariam, Charlie still had to help her walk, and it took another before she even dared walking with her cane.
Incredible pain still surged through her leg when she walked, but for the energetic girl, life was too short to sit around and do nothing. She had only been reminded how truly fleeting it could be and therefore she was going to make the most of it.
She had been incredibly lucky, apparating that far and with her injuries had practically been suicide, her body now bore the proof. It also meant she was not allowed to travel at all, not even the muggle methods for a good while.
"Lynn?" Charlie shouted from the hallway, and Lynnea dragged herself off of the couch from where she had been sitting and talking to Mariam, it was her day off today.
"You've got mail," Charlie said, and something dropped in her stomach. Charlie had not said it in his usual cheerful tone.
When he got into the doorway to the living room she saw the furrowed eyebrows, he was fiddling with the letters. It was as if he did not want to give them to her.
"Charlie?" She questioned while sitting back down, her stomach and leg were aching again.
"They've all sent you letters." He took two decisive steps towards her and firmly handed her the four letters in his hand. Dad and Jonas, Harry, Sirius and Remus, and lastly Fred and George. As if the letters had burnt her, she threw them down on the table.
"I'm opening them," Mariam stated while picking up the letters. Quickly, she combed through them before gathering them in a pile. She and Charlie shared a look before both of them with a sigh fell onto the sofa and armchair.
"You need to go," Mariam said while rubbing her eyes with one hand.
"Is it bad?" Lynnea asked in a voice resembling Elisa's more than her own.
"Worse," She said before taking the last sip of her cup.
"Charlie, she's leaving the day after tomorrow," Mariam stated which meant that it was final. Lynnea did not mind, she had intruded long enough, and she knew neither of them wanted to see her go.
"Charlie?" Lynnea croaked up, and he looked at her with sorrowful eyes again, knowing very well that it would rush over her again.
"I'm scared." Her voice broke, and he immediately wrapped his arms around her again.
"I know, Lynn, but I promise you it won't be like last time." Lynnea did not believe a word he was saying.
"Did something bad happen to you?" Elisa asked the older girl when she had finished reading the book and Lynnea was once again crying.
"Yeah... that one was my mom's favourite," Lynnea chuckled as the tears flew down her cheeks.
"Mommy said something bad happened to dad as well last year. I haven't seen him since." Elisa closed the book, and her demeanour seemed changed as well.
"Want to see another magic trick?" Lynnea asked, wiping her tears away, and luckily, her attempt to cheer up the girl worked.
"Yeah!" She exclaimed before rushing over to sit on the floor next to Lynnea like she always would. Lynnea pointed her wand to the girl's old favourite teddy bear, and it began walking on its own, dancing towards Elisa who let out a hearty laughter. It was that kind of innocent naive laughter that could make everyone in a room smile.
