Ebullience
- The quality of being full of energy and happiness✦✦✦✦
For this 14-year-old Beauxbatons was probably the worst place she could ever imagine. Lynnea Ilves was a passionate witch and well the people there were not what you would refer to as her 'crowd'. For the majority of her life, she could not understand why her mother would choose to send her here. She had one friend at the school, Alex. His dark blonde curly hair and green eyes with soft elegant facial features blended in with most of the other students. He was very different from them though, at least the ones in her year.
Alexander had reminded her of her brother, not from the way he looked but from how he acted around her. A big plus was that they also came from the same small country so they were able to spend summers together. He was like her brother, very into the grunge style, long hair and layered dark monotone clothes.
Most of the students at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic were from France. Alex' family had been from Denmark, which was where her mother had been raised for most of her life before running away to England. Even though he was two years older than her he had always treated her like an equal, he was always there for her and she for him. Their summers were spent along with both their muggle friends.
He would use a great deal of his time teaching her the things he learned throughout the year, meaning she was a far more advanced witch that she was supposed to be.
Alexander had not been the only one to help her though, she had her brother as well. Jonas would just like Alex, teach Lynnea everything he knew. He was 5 years older than her. Lynnea's only real struggle with learning from her brother was that she was not able to perform the magic with him, but that was where Alex had come in.
They had practised magic every waking moment of the day when they were at Beauxbatons. They had ended up getting a new rule implemented, you were no longer allowed to use magic at mealtimes anymore. This, of course, had never stopped them, they just started practising non-verbal spells which they had both become proficient at.
Lynnea being only 14 had looked forward to next year when she would be able to practice magic with her brother at home. That wish had been turned upside down when he moved to England over the summer after he had gotten the job as an Unspeakable in The English Ministry of Magic.
They had specifically reached out to him so of course, he had happily obliged. Now she would instead have to figure out the spells on her own, he would rarely be with her at all. Their whole family had felt the pain of him leaving, they were all close. It was for the better though and she knew it her brother was happier there.
Lynnea had muggle friends, most of them were people her mother had known when she was younger, others were people she had kept in touch with from her muggle kindergarten. Her parents had thought it important to hold onto her muggle side. Her father was a muggle-born English wizard. He had gone to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry himself, and that was where he had met Lynnea's mother, Cami.
Lynnea had learned early on of her mother's upbringing. Her mother left out parts when she asked too many questions Cami would tense up and leave the room. She came from a long line of Scandinavian purebloods, but Cami had rejected the classist views of her family early on.
As soon as her mother had turned 15 she had run away from Denmark. She had headed straight to Hogwarts where she had practically grown up. She ended up living with the Arithmancy teacher, Professor Septima Vector.
Her parents had moved to Denmark together not long after Lynnea was born, though they had never told her why. Lynnea knew it must have had something to do with the Wizarding World War that was almost at its highest when she was still a mere toddler.
