To say the party in the common room was loud that evening was an understatement. The Ravenclaw parties were already some of her favourites, but nothing could ever outdo this one. The last party before graduation. All of the seventh years had their favourite songs played, no matter what genre, and people everywhere were planning on drinking their brains out now that they no longer needed to stay fresh for exams.
A party like this had not been thrown all year, and everyone let all of their self-control go. Lynnea was thoroughly enjoying the talk with Roger and Morgan until she was pulled away by none other than Snape. The two boys stood up defensively immediately.
"It's the Phoenix," Snape snarled while Lynnea was trying to figure out if it was actually Snape in front of her or someone in a greasy wig.
"What Phoeniks?" Lynnea slurred out, too drunk to register his words and figure out if it was really Snape.
"This is serious, sit back down Davies, Smyth," Snape sneered before very quickly pulling her out of the common room and through the halls of the castle at least it was quick in her mind.
"Are we going on a trip in our favourite rocketship?" Lynnea laughed out, very amused by her own joke.
"Truly your father's daughter. Drink this you foolish girl." Snape pushed a strange-looking bottle into her hand, it was dumb to drink things from a stranger, but hey, it looked like a shot. Lynnea downed the liquid immediately as her stomach started rumbling dangerously, and her head began to spin.
Then it started throbbing, and she was definitely about to puke. Lynnea rushed to the side, supporting herself with a hand on the wall while emptying the contents of her stomach, tasting everything she had drunk and eaten throughout the last three days.
On the other hand, her mind was much more clear now and confusion spread through her instead.
"What we doing here?" Lynnea asked, they were standing in one of the courtyards... she was barely tipsy now, but her mind was far from clear, everything was blurry and gross. What a disgusting potion.
"And what the hell did you just give me?"
Lynnea now noticed that Snape had her broom in one of his hands, how had he gotten ahold of that?
"Potter said He's got Padfoot and Spot's wife where it's hidden," Snape thrust the broom into her hands, Lynnea was already going through the guard schedule in her head... Yes, her mom was set to guard it today.
"I'm informing them right after this, I can't inform the rest of the order first. You need to get there before they do," Snape said and though Lynnea was no longer drunk her mind was working on overtime trying to figure out what on earth he was saying and returning to its normal state.
"What?" She tried again.
"You need to protect them, go into apparating distance and apparate there," Snape ushered her while she swung her legs up on her broom.
"GO!" Snape hissed while practically throwing her up in the air. Lynnea secured her wand and put her hood over her head before flying off into the air and along the shore of the Great Lake.
Right, so her mom was at the department of mysteries tonight, but why would Sirius be there? He had been getting restless, but Remus would have held him back or killed him before he could leave. And 'he'? Was Snape talking about Voldemort? No, surely not, he was still in hiding.
