Leah

that night i was laying on the couch on my phone waiting for something to happen, i was bored out of my mind. my phone started ringing and i picked up the phone.

"hello?"

"hey Leah it's me,"

"oh hi Lou, why are you calling?"

"well i just wanted to see what your up to,"

"at the moment? nothing,"

"well then, open up, i'm here."

"what?"

i get up and walk over to the door, i open it and Louis is standing in the doorway. i hang up the phone and put my phone in my pocket,

"what are you doing here?" i say.

"i needed someone to rant to about my day," he says coming inside.

"you crack me up Partridge," i say closing the door. "so how was your first day back?" i ask.

"dreadful," he groans sitting down at the kitchen counter. "what about when you go to school back home? what's it's like?"

"well, you know Gossip Girl the tv show?" i ask, he nods. "everyone is spoiled rotten, it's a college competition, there are girls complaining because their dads won't let them go to Cabo for the weekend and everyone talking about Island Ball, it's more elegant than it sounds." i explain.

"the Island Ball?" he asks.

"it's a ball, you have to dress up fancy and you have to waltz, last years theme was The Great Gatsby." i say.

"you learned to waltz?" he asks.

"you learn in the 6th grade," i say. "but enough about my life, what about your school?"

"you mean, the girls gossiping 24/7 and the guys talking about each girl and how good they are in bed?" he says.

we both burst out laughing, "are you serious?" i ask.

"deadass," he says, once we both calm down he speaks up again. "the Island Ball, tell me more."

"okay, well they always rent this beautiful mansion downtown and the dress code is so strict. you have to dress accordingly, if it says black and white, you have to wear something black or white, it never says black tie optional. no fun colors, no mini/party dresses. they have to be gowns and tuxedos." i say.

"sounds like fun, what do you do there?" he asks.

"dance, you eat, drink, and talk." i say. "they even have people take pictures when you first enter so it looks like paparazzi pictures, you can even use them as your yearbook photo." i say.

"sounds very classy," he says.

"when you're actually there, it's not as classy, once a girl was drugged and the entire place was searched and everybody was interrogated." i say.

"that's awful," he says. "did they ever find out who was behind it?"

"yeah, it was the girls best friend, she was arrested." i say. "i think she's still in jail,"

"well anyway, wanna watch a movie?" he asks.

"sure,"
