"YOU'RE FUCKING KIDDING ME" I heard Mara snarl and it felt like Ava's hold on me had disappeared, I instantly pushed her off of me and aggressively wiped my lips in disgust.

"and you slag! you-ugh" Mara scowled at Ava who was simply rolling her eyes,

"you're the one who sucked another man's-" she started but was cut off my Mara slapping her, hard, the sound echoing in the room as Ava gasped holding her cheek.

"you don't get to shame me for something I didn't do when you're here kissing someone who you know is in a happy, stable relationship you bitch" Mara hissed her words dripping with venom and I felt my stomach drop when I realized I was about to be on the receiving end of that in a few moments.

"stable relationship? debatable" Ava retorted and Mara raised her hand again but I grabbed her wrist,

"If you say anything about this to anyone I'll make sure you regret it" I spoke lowly and she crossed her arms over her chest trying to remain unbothered,

"oh please, what are you going to do?"

"Forget what he'll do, I'll make sure my name will never leave your lips after without a fucking shiver going down your spine" Mara said each word sharper than the next and Ave went to reply but I beat her to it,

"out" I said and she glared at me, "but-"

"get the fuck out Ava I'm being serious" I spat and she didn't say anything grabbing her book and storming out of my room.

"Mara-"

"shut up for a second" she snapped as I let go of her wrist and she sat on my bed and ran her hands through her hair.

Mara's pov

I don't even know what to think there were so many thoughts going through my head.

Ava and Fred, merlin it even sounds wrong to think.

they fucking kissed

yeah but he thought I had cheated on him

except you didn't

he didn't know that

yet he still kissed her

she's a veela she could've easily used that to her advantage

and if she didn't?

"if it's any consolation she kissed me, and she must've heard you coming in or something because I-I swear she grabbed my hands on put them on herself" he spoke desperately and I took a moment to collect my thoughts,

"I never cheated on you. I would never, Adrian and I simply talked everything out" I said after a few seconds,

"I figured" he mumbled scratching the back of his neck, "I'm so sorry Mara, there's no excuse for what I did-I should've pulled away, I-I should've listened to you, I should've never given her a chance-"

"what did it feel like?" I said in a low voice and he fell silent,

"p-pardon me?"

"were you the one actually kissing her? or did it feel like you couldn't do anything to stop it?"

"yeah it-I felt like I couldn't do anything, like it was the only thing I could do" he stammered to come sit beside me, "Mara I am so sorry I don't even know what to say-"

"Fred it's-just, as long as you didn't want it to happen-" I sighed but he cut me off, cupping my jaw and turning my head towards him,

"-of course I didn't want it to happen fuck Mara I don't ever want to kiss anyone other than you" he breathed out resting his forehead against mine, 

"I'm going to tell the others that I came to your dorm and we talked it out" I said standing up and he furrowed his eyebrows, "please don't mention it to anyone"

"not that I will but why not?"

"because Enzo would literally beat you to a pulp Fred, let alone let me continue to see you" I said laughing bitterly and his head dropped slightly,

"and you'd listen to him?" 

"not relevant" I mumbled and his head shot up towards me,

"excuse me? why should he have a say in our relationship?" he scoffed and I stayed silent looking down at my hands and the air shifted,

"it's not that I'd listen to him Fred-"

"he would give you the push"

"what?" I asked confused and he bit the inner part of his cheek,

"you would listen to him because you're already thinking about it" 

"that's-that is not true Fred we both know Ava is part veela-" I began to stammer but he stood up interrupting me,

"a part of you still blames me though doesn't it?" he asked towering over me and I took a step back, hitting his table,

"you can admit it, if anything I agree" he shrugged stepping towards me and I swallowed hard, 

"Fred I-"

"say it Mara" he spat and I flinched at the edge in his voice,

"Fred stop it-"

"fucking admit Mara. We both know it that deep down-"

"a part of me can't help but fucking think that if your feelings for me were as passionate as you've had me believed then you would have pulled away" I blurted and I could tell he wasn't actually admit it, "fuck Fred I didn't-"

"do you know what I was thinking about when she was kissing me Mara?" he asked quietly and I tried to ignore the fact his body was almost completely pressed against mine, his dark eyes, low voice and hands that were now gripping the table at either side of me, 

"I would rather not know" I replied my voice coming out barely above a whisper, and he pressed his lips into a thin line,

"I was thinking about you. and your lips, and how they make me feel, how you make me feel" 

"can you take a step back please-" I gasped out feeling flustered and instantly regretted as he smirked slightly,

"do you want me to show you?"

"w-what?" I stammered and his hand met my hip,

"do you want me to show you how passionate my feelings are Mara?"
