"HAVE I EVER MENTIONED HOW ANNOYING YOU ARE?" I said as I sat down beside Lyra and Enzo on the couch in the common room,
"hello to you too" she replied sarcastically, setting her book down and turning to me.
"you put thoughts in my head that I didn't need" I pouted and Enzo laughed realizing what I was talking about,
"what is so wrong with liking him?" she asked confused and I sighed,
"I don't know, It's just weird. I don't date" I shrugged and Enzo raised his eyebrows at me,
"yeah maybe in year four and five but you're turning seventeen Mara"
"I know, I know! It's just new to me, liking someone"
"so you admit you like him?" Lyra teased and I rolled my eyes,
"there's no point of me liking him if I have commitment issues Miss. Ravenclaw" I retorted and she hit my arm with her book,
"yes but admitting your feelings gets us one step closer" she said as I rubbed my arm,
"closer? to what?-"
"bloody hell Mara, to a relationship" Enzo spoke rolling his eyes,
"hey hey hey hold on, I-I never said anything about getting in a relationship" I stammered and they both groaned,
"Mara you're not going to die if you start dating Fred!" Lyra exclaimed,
"you don't know that!"
"I don't reckon he's that big" Enzo joked and I hit his arm as he laughed, Lyra let out a laugh and tried to cover it with a cough as I sent them both a glare.
"git" I mumbled under my breath reaching into my bag and grabbing my copy of Romeo and Juliet,
"Mara? Fred Weasley is here for you" luna spoke in her dreamy voice, walking into the common room,
"speak of the devil" Enzo muttered and I hit his arm again getting up,
"thank you" I said with a smile, I tossed my book down on the couch.
"hello?" I asked walking out of the common room,
"yeah-I wanted to give your book back" he said looking down at the book in his hands,
"two days later?"
"I wanted to read it" he shrugged and I bit my lip trying not to smile.
"and?"
"and what?-"
"what did you think?" I asked curiously, crossing my arms over my chest,
"it was....alright. I liked it" he shrugged and I raised my eyebrows in amusement,
"right then. thanks for giving it back" I said as he handed me the book.
"wait uh-do you recommend any of his other books? I looked in the library but It got a tad confusing there were too many" he asked in a kind of shy tone like he was even embarrassed to ask.
"sure, come on" I said motioning for him to walk in and he hesitated before following me in. I watched as Lyra and Enzo paused their conversation to look at us and I gave them a look that said don't even. He waved at Enzo and Lyra awkwardly and Enzo nodded while Lyra smiled.
"here you go" I said grabbing Romeo and Juliet off of the couch and handing it to him.
"thanks-oh were you reading it?" he asked looking at the book mark I made in my 3rd year that was wedged in between the pages.
