Y/n pov:

''How did you know I was there I hid my presence?'' he asked stepping forward

''I wouldn't be the number 1 prodigy if I couldn't sense people even if they hid their presence'' I told Neji while standing up and looking at him

''what are you doing here?" we asked simultaneously. I  averted my gaze away from Neji so he won't see the light color of crimson that appeared on my face

once I calmed myself I looked at Neji "I came here because this is the place I clear my mind" he told me as he stepped forward "I have a question...why did you tell everyone that I
won?" he asked me as he stopped and looked at me

I didn't want to answer because I don't even know myself I then started walking. I walked past him but he grabbed me by my wrist, I turned around looking at home ''let me go'' I told him, 'please' he then loosened his grip

''sorry'' he said as he looked me in the eye, I quickly turned around and walked away

I have been walking for 1 hour since my last encounter with neji

'I just can't get Neji out of my mind, the way he grabbed me around my wrist and-, no-' wait what am I thinking?! ' I stopped and put my hand on my head,

'I think I'm tired I just need some sleep, yeah some sleep then ALL these thoughts will go away' I thought to myself as I started running to my house to get some sleep,

I opened the door, taking my shoes off, closing the door and heading to my room. I don't know how or when but  I found myself standing by the window looking at the Hyuga compound, I then see Neji practicing, again

I sigh wondering why he is training this late. I turn around so the Hyuga won't notice me and head to my bed, I fell asleep and dreamt of a certain Hyuga

*1 week later*

''Finally!!!!!!" I screamed when I saw a bird flying above my head, I may finally have a mission, nothing interesting happened today I had no training, so I was free, but not anymore I have a mission, and without wasting any time I went to the Hokage

"come in" I heard Lady Tsunade say on the other side of the door. I opened the door then closed it, I was trying not to show how excited I am

''y/n glad you came as fast as you could I have a very important mission for you'' lady Tsunade said taking out a file

'Finally, this is it I'm getting a mission' I thought to myself 'I feel like I can explode with excitement any moment but I need to control myself,'

I then nodded

''your mission will be to retrieve a scroll'' Lady Tsunade said after she read what was written in the file,

'a scroll are you serious?! I haven't gotten a mission since I came and the first mission I get is to receive a scroll!' I thought to myself trying not to show my disappointment.

''I see you're not satisfied but you didn't let me finish, it's not just any scroll, this scroll contains secrets of the hidden village and much more things that can put the village in danger, so that's why I'm sending you to receive it'' Lady Tsunade said as she put the file down and placed her elbows on the table leaning forward,

''I understand Lady Hokage, how long will the mission take'' I asked

''about 4 or 5 days for a Jonin, but I have a feeling you'll finish it faster'' Lady Tsunade said

''I understand , I'll just get some things for the trip then I'll be leaving'' I said and bowed, Lady Tsunade nodded and then I left going home gathering some things and then went to the gate and starting my mission

Mayu's pov:

I have a mission, Finally, my mission is to head to the Hidden leaf and retrieve some valuable information. I am excited not only is this my first mission but I will be able to see y/n

I have been traveling for about a day now, and finally arrived at the Hidden leaf village, once I stopped at the gate 2 men asked me what I was doing here. I told them I'm on a mission blah blah and they took me to the Hokage blah blah blah

''are you Mayu Nakamaru?" the Hokage asked me,

I answered yes and bowed a bit, "My mission is to retrieve some valuable information'' I said I stopped bowing and looked at the Hokage

''yes we have been informed but the information will be ready in about 2 days, the same time y/n will be back from her mission, I understand that you maybe wanted to see her, but she's not here I'm sorry she was sent on a mission yesterday''

The Hokage told me, I must admit I was a bit upset,  it's not like I can stay here after I received the information I'll need to leave as soon as possible. I thanked the Hokage for letting me know. I left and decided to head to a hot Spring, I need to relax a bit I have been traveling for a day without rest

when I arrived, I was on my way to change to get ready to soak in the hot springy. There was a group of ,I assume Shinobi, they looked about my age some older some younger. I walked past not wanting to draw any attention to myself, while I was walking past I hear someone clear their throat

''hey I am Sakura I have never seen you before, might I ask who you are ?'' asked a girl with pink hair, I turned to the giving a small smile

"hi I'm Mayu Nakamaru, I'm just passing by, I have a mission''

"mayu nakamaru as in one of the prodigies?" she asked and I nodded

"yes it's very nice to meet you" I smiled at them

"this is the second prodigy that has been in the village" the same girl said with a grin
