Chapter 19

Y/n pov:

''the leaf village will be having a festival, and at the end of the festival there will be a show where anyone can participate, do whatever they want to, it can be singing, dancing or even playing the violin'' lady Tsunade said putting her elbows on the table

I stiffened

''I want you to participate in the show be the last one to participate'' she said resting her face on her palms

I nodded ''of course, when will the festival be'' I asked hoping it's not too soon so I can have some time to practice and decide which song I'll be playing

''tonight'' Lady Tsunade said straightforward

my eyes widened. I couldn't do anything about it so I just nodded and left the Hokage office.

I decided to walk around town, it's been a while. As I was walking I saw a lot of people laughing and making jokes you could see they were excited about tonight's festival, I couldn't help but smile while I was walking

But I soon stopped smiling when I saw Neji, Ino, sakura, Shikamaru, Kiba, and Shino. I just walked past them trying to ignore their presence and hope they didn't see me smile just a few seconds ago

''hey y/n'' I heard someone say behind me, I turned around to look at the person that greeted me, it was Ino

I didn't answer back, when I was about to turn around Sakura asked something ''so is it true that you will be participating in the show at the end''

''I see news travels fast in this village'' I said as I turned around to face them '' yes I am participating'' I  turned around again walking away. I could hear them ask more questions behind me but decided to ignore them and continue my walk, once I got home from my walk around town it was already getting dark, the festival already started. I went home to get dressed and take a shower

once I was done I took some money and left, heading to the festival with my violin in my hand. I arrived and it was really beautiful the way the lights lit up the village. There were an awful lot of places to go and a lot of things to do, there was a place where you could watch people fight or even fight yourself

I decided to go check it out but got challenged, I didn't want to fight and I didn't want to get my clothes dirty so I lost on purpose. I was starting to get hungry so I searched a place for me to eat, I wanted to eat some dumpling.

I stopped when I saw everyone there, except naruto he is still training. I was pretty upset I wanted some dumpling but I can't they will see me. I quickly turned around but before I could walk away someone grabbed me by my wrist, I turned around and saw Sakura

she gave me a warm smile ''do you want to join us, I could see you wanted to eat dumplings'' she said but before I could answer she pulled me toward the others

I sat down next to Neji and Ino, we ordered some dumpling, luckily they didn't order as much as they did last time, and they didn't want to order water, maybe because they were afraid it would happen again, and then they have to pay for a bill they can't even afford

while we were waiting for the dumpling everyone around started talking to each other, talking about all sorts of stuff, then someone changed the subject and asked if they are excited about the show at the end

''I am so excited I cant wait to see the different things'' Lee explained as he pumped his fist in the air

''Neji are you excited about the show, and what can't you wait to see, we already know all the things they will be performing tonight so which one are you the most excited to see'' Ino asked

Neji thought for a few seconds ''I am excited to see y/n perform tonight'' he said just as our dumpling arrived and he thanked them

''you are? but we don't even know what she is going to do, what are you going to do y/n? '' Ino asked.I didn't look at everyone I felt my face heat up about what Neji said, I then mentally facepalmed myself

'This is stupid, come on y/n it's not like he said anything special don't blush' I thought, I then quickly pulled myself together before looking up

''you'll see'' I said as I took a bite from my dumpling, everyone then looked at me and Neji

''Neji you excited to see her play but you don't know what she will be doing, or do you, did she tell you? '' Shikamaru said taking a bite op his dumpling as well

''She didn't tell me but I might have an idea about what she will be doing'' he said looking at me

we looked at each other for a few seconds before I looked down at my dumpling. I took a bit of my last one and stood up, I put some money down

''thank you for the food'' I put the money down on the table, I looked at everyone and they had confusion written on their face except Neji

''y/n, before you go, do you remember the barbeque'' Shikamaru asked as I was about to turn around, and I just nodded

''Why did you pay'' he asked taking something out of his pocket

'shit what do I say' I looked at him with a blank expression, Shikamaru held his hand out, and in his hand there was some momey

I looked at the money and then looked at him

''use it to pay for the dumpling, it would be a pain in the ass if I were to see one of you coming towards me asking to help you pay for the dumplings'' I turned around walking away

Neji pov;

''Why did she pay'' Shikamaru asked no one in particular

''its time to go'' I said to them '' if we want to see some of the acts and stuff we must leave now, it has already started'' I stood up, as Shikamaru paid and after that we left

'i can't believe I said that in front of everyone, being excited to see y/n perform... I mean I am But I don't know why, and tonight when y/n was with us, I was happy even though she said nothing just her being my side made me happy'

''We're here'' my thought were interrupted when tenten told spoke. We went to the front of the crowd to get a better view, there were already a few people there but more will come later
