Chapter 21

Chunmei's POV

"So you're just going to ignore me?" I ask, very annoyed. Chunli just got home and is literally just walking past me without saying anything at all.

"I'm having a bad day, okay?" she hisses.

"Dang, you don't have to be so aggressive," I mutter. Then, a little concerned, I ask, "Did something go wrong at your job?"

"Yes! Everything went wrong!" she nearly screams, throwing up her hands. "I had this thing that I was supposed to do and then some dumb people ruined it all!"

"Oh," is all I say. I have to remember not to give away the fact that I may or may not have been snooping around in her room.

"I'm actually so annoyed right now," Chunli groans, dramatically falling over onto the couch with her arms flailing about.

"Well, do you want to tell me about it?" I ask, hoping that she's mad enough to want to rant to somebody, anybody at all.

"No. It's not too big of a deal anyways," she responds, sitting up. Well, that didn't work.

"Oh, you just seemed kind of upset," I explain, still trying to find out more about what happened. "You're kind of yelling and stuff, so I thought something bad happened."

"Anyways, yeah, just put up with me for a while and I'll be fine," my older sister shrugs, as if it's that easy. I'm supposed to let her do whatever she wants just because she's having a bad day and something went wrong at work. Right, that's definitely a normal thing to do.

"I see. Well, did it have anything to do with whoever you're being a stylist for?" I ask cautiously, not wanting her to explode out of anger or anything.

"Yeah, it had everything to do with them. I mean, what kind of name is-" Then she stops herself, just as she's about to say the name of the group. "I mean, um, I don't think I'm supposed to say anything about them."

"Oh..." I trail off in disappointment. I was so close to knowing more!

"I'm heading to my room now," Chunli announces, getting up from the couch and disappearing into her room.

I also return to my own room, but only because I want to think about everything that's happened today. It's been pretty wild, but I might just be thinking that because of how dull my life is right now.

It's possible that all of my theories are just me and my imagination going wild, but Chunli is being extra secretive about her job.

So far, my most wild theory that has a 0.0000000001 chance of being true is that Sicheng, Winnie, and the guy from WayV are all the same people.

Well, I could start by figuring out who "WayV Guy" is. Yeah, that would be a pretty good place to start.

I turn on my laptop and search "WayV members" on Google. Let's see... Aha! There he is! His name is Winwin.

Winwin. Not Winnie, not Sicheng, just Winwin. Interesting.

But Winnie does sound like a poorly made nickname for a Winwin, right? Or am I finally and actually going insane?

This is getting very, very complicated.
