Winwin's POV

My palms are actually sweating right now. I swear, my heart might jump out of my chest as this point. I'm starting to wonder whether or not this is actually a good idea. But Yangyang and Ten usually aren't wrong...

I'm just gonna go for it.

I start with suggesting to pay for Chunmei's food, because well, I don't know how to gradually slide into this. We sit at our normal table, talking normally, until there's a comfortable silence while we both sip our coffee.

This is the time.

"Wait, Chunmei, I have something to say."

Through my peripheral vision, I see her take another sip of coffee and then put it down to lift her head. "Mhm?" If she's suspicious of how nervous I am, she isn't showing it.

I take a deep breath, making eye contact with her.

"I... like you."

After a second, she doesn't respond, so I start elaborating, or rambling, thinking she either doesn't get it or doesn't like me back. Hopefully not the second one. "I like you. A lot. Like, as more than a friend. Like, in a romantic-"

"I like you too," Chunmei responds, cutting my rambling off with a smile.

"Wait, are you joking?" I ask, not believing my ears.

She laughs. "No, I'm not joking, I actually think you're the most perfect person that could exist in this whole world."

I feel my face heat up. "Okay, that might be a little extreme."

Chunmei shakes her headd, laughing again. "Come on, I'm pretty sure I've liked you since the first time we met." I suddenly realize that we're in the middle of a café confessing to each other, but at this point, it doesn't really matter.

Besides, since it's a weekend, basically the whole neighborhood is still asleep, while we were woken up by Hendery and Yangyang, but that means we have privacy, so I'll forgive them.

Actually, WayV has played such a big part in this. I definitely owe them something, and they're going to take advantage of that. I may have doubted Yangyang and Ten's observing abilities, but turns out, they were right, and trying to help me, and I'm so happy about that.

Plus, our usual spot is in the corner of the shop, and the workers obviously aren't hovering over our shoulders or anything.

"So, uh, do you want to be my girlfriend?" I ask her, making eye contact again. I watch as her eyes light up, which is a good sign.

"I thought you'd never ask. Of course," she replies.

I want to say, "Wait, seriously?" again, but that would be impractical, so I settle for, "Okay, but can we talk about how all of these coincidences happened? Like, the way you happened to be the one in front of me that morning while also being Chunli's sister who was willing to help me get rid of her is amazing," I laugh.

"Which means we were destined to be together," Chunmei summarizes.

"I- Okay then," I respond. "Sure, let's just say that."

~Time Skip~

Okay, that whole time may or may not have been me being over the moon but still trying to act normal while we were both sneaking glances at each other throughout the conversation and then laughing when we managed to do it at the same time every time.

As we walk down the street on our way back to the dorms, we swing our arms in between us. I don't know about her, but I'm basically half skipping, even through the lobby and the hallways.

"Let's see how this goes," I laugh, unlocking the door to the dorm.

As soon as I swing it open, I spot the 6 people inside the dorm standing so close to the door, I'm surprised I didn't somehow manage to hit them. For some random reason, they start cheering, the volume of their yells only amplifying once they spot my hand intertwined with Chunmei's. What happened here?

"I knew it would happen!"
"Ha, told you so!"
"Let's go!"
"Someone here owes me money!"
"Lucas, nobody even bet against you!"
"Yeah, we all agreed it would happen!"

I glance at Ten and Yangyang, who meet my gaze confidently, without even the tiniest hint of regret or remorse. "Did you really tell them all even without being sure it would happen?"

"Maybe? We were sure it was gonna happen, though, so technically, no."

"Fair enough."
