Winwin's POV

"Did she really just do that?" Ten mutters, obviously disgusted by Chunli's actions. He kicks off his shoes and immediately greets Louis, and then Leon.

"I don't even know, but I've gone from hating her to despising her," Yangyang announces. I hum in agreement.

"Anyways-" Lucas starts, but gets cut off by our front door slamming open to reveal our manager. Did he have a hard time parking the car or something?

"I was told that you weren't extremely respectful to your new stylist," manager nim announces. Then, directing his gaze at me, he adds, "I'm disappointed in you all, especially you, Sicheng."

I whip my head around to look at him, shocked. What have I done?

"What did he even do?" Xiaojun demands, as if reading my mind.

"I was told that Sicheng treated your new stylist especially poorly," manager nim responds, shrugging.

"Who even told you that? You can't believe everything that you hear," Kun sighs. Wow, scolding our manager? He's really out to defend me.

"The stylist herself, who else? She said you were avoiding her and constantly critiquing her styling skills," our manager replies.

"Wow, so you're just going to believe her before asking for our side of the story?" Hendery asks. "That isn't exactly a smart move."

"Okay? Well, are you going to tell me anything?" he responds impatiently.

"You don't have to be so impatient, but Winwin and our new stylist actually have a history. They used to date and then she-"

"Nothing much-" I try to stop Ten from continuing the story.

"They used to date and then she cheated on him. And on top of that, she was also trying to use him for recognition the whole time," he finishes anyways.

"What? Chunli? Manipulative? No, I think you've got it all wrong," manager nim laughs. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"Well, we've told you the truth, so it's up to you to make your decisions. I'd just like you to know that Chunli is fabricating everything," Yangyang responds.

"No, I think you're talking about yourself here. Chunli is a fine young woman, and you'd be really stupid to reject her skill. After all, she was selected by the company, not you," our manager argues.

"Actually, I think I'm going to look a little weird when the performance comes out because she didn't put enough gel in my hair," Hendery corrects.

"Nonsense. I've seen some of her work, and she's wonderfully skilled," manager nim retorts. "Plus, you can't judge her based on today, because it's her first time."

"So? Her attitude is also really important, and all she's been doing today is trying to target Winwin and make him uncomfortable," Lucas points out logically.

"You all really are worse than I thought. Imagine making false claims about an innocent young woman who only wants to help you!" manager nim exclaims. I can't tell if he actually believes the words coming out of his mouth.

"I'm not exactly sure why you're arguing with us right now," I speak up at last. "What does this even have to do with you?"

"I'm just making sure that you all don't scare off your wonderful new stylist, but you obviously aren't grateful at all," he says angrily. "Anyways, I'm out. Take some time to reflect on your decisions before I inform the CEO about this."

With that, he turns around and storms out.
