Winwin's POV

Well, that wasn't the best thing that could've happened, was it? There has got to be at least 50 people there. I'm going to have to apologize to the owner of the shop one day, because this definitely isn't fun for them.

Unless everyone got so tired of waiting for us that they all started buying breakfast. That would be one good thing to come out of this, I guess.

Well, Chunmei is going to need a hood, just for safety precautions. I remember that I have both my winter coat on and a hoodie on under it, so I remove the coat and pass it to her, trying not to overthink the situation.

"I guess our best move would be to head home and hope not to get caught," I suggest, making sure that she's walking in front of me. The coat is way too big on her, going all the way down to her knees. It's kinda... cute?

"Yeah... that would be a good idea," she agrees, her voice shaking a little. I feel bad that she has to experience this kind of stuff, all because of a stupid thing called Dispatch.

(A/N: Is her voice shaking from nervousness caused by fear... or something else? ;))

I want to protect her and make her feel safe, but that's nearly impossible when it comes to Dispatch.

The closest thing to "making her feel safe" that I can do right now is... Do I do it?

I reach out and take Chunmei sleeve - or, my sleeve - and find her hand, holding it tightly. She jolts in surprise, then probably realizes that it's just me.

Hopefully this prevents either of us from getting lost in the crowd. Oh, and it's easier to blend in this way as "normal couple walking around on streets", instead of "idol and friend hiding from news outlet".

Wait, did I just think of us as a couple? No, I definitely didn't. Let's just kinda go home.

A few minutes later, we reach our building and take the elevator up to our floor. I unlock our door and wave her in. I think we're safe now, and I didn't see anyone suspicious looking with cameras or anything on our way here.

Hendery glances up from his phone. "Why are you guys home so early? That was fast."

"There were people," I respond shortly.

Hendery nods. "Well, I'm gonna tell Kun to order food," he says, then raises his voice and yells, "Kun ge! Come here! There's an urgent emergency that needs your attention right now!"

"Wait, is there a fire?" Chunmei gasps, looking around in a panic. I shake my head and assure her that Hendery does this on a normal basis whenever he needs Kun.

Just then, our leader bursts out of his room. "Is there actually an emergency?"

"Yes! Winwin and Chunmei failed on their mission to get food because 'there were people', and now we're going to starve to death!" he exclaims dramatically.

Kun stops, sighs in disappointment, and rolls his eyes. "I swear, one of these days, there's going to be an actual emergency and I'm gonna thing that you're just being overly dramatic again."

"You see, that could be avoided if you simply check in and make sure everything is alright every time I say that. Oh, and it'd be nice of you to take care of whatever I need you to do, too," Hendery explains.

Kun sighs again. "Okay, I'll order food for everyone," he agrees reluctantly.

"And also, Winwin and Chunmei didn't fail on a mission at all, Dispatch failed on their mission to respect our privacy!" Yangyang exclaims, rolling out from behind the couch cushions.

Chunmei stares at him in confusion for a few seconds, then says, "You know what? I'm not even gonna question it."

"Yeah... it takes a little bit of getting used to," I laugh.
