Chunmei's POV

Well, I guess Sicheng and I are going to be learning about each other now. I'm pretty excited, because I just got into WayV and haven't had time to watch any content or anything. I'm sure I'll be doing that soon, though.

Me
okay first
do I call u Sicheng or Winwin?

Sicheng

Me

Sicheng

Me

Sicheng

Sicheng

Me

(A/N: this literally happens to my teacher and some random student every time it's the first day of school)

Winwin
:)

Me
okay so moving on
ask me anything

We continue the conversation. Honestly, I think it's cool that I get to learn about Winwin this way, straight from the man himself, instead of through the internet. It makes everything more personal, yknow?

Before I know it, it's already time for me to go eat dinner with the evil human - or, should I say psychopath - who I have to live with. Yeah. I'm not looking forward to it.

Me
anyways i have to eat dinner soon :/

Winwin
same :)
kun is nagging me now

Me
is kun ur leader?

Winwin
yep
WHOEVER YOU ARE, WINWIN HAS TO EAT DINNER NOW TTYL

Me

Winwin
that was kun, aggressively trying to make me eat

Me
well then we should both go eat :)

Winwin
see u tmrw?

Me
definitely

Winwin
alright, bye! :)

I leave it at that, then make sure to hide my phone between the boards of my bed and my mattress so Chunli has a hard time finding it, if she does try.

"Look who finally decided to show up," my older sister says sarcastically.

"Good evening to you, too!" I chirp sassily, smoothly sliding into my chair at the table and eyeing the food.

Chunli rolls her eyes again and looks back down at her phone. Rude, but at least it's better than having to talk to her.

Again, I eye the food on the table. It's funny what thinking too much about a person can do, because right now, I'm questioning whether or not the food in front of me is poisoned.

Chunli wouldn't poison me though, right? Plus, this is takeout. Then again, I'm not really sure who my sister has turned into. She really isn't the same person I grew up with anymore. A pity, but it is what it is.

Only when she herself eats a piece of chicken do I decide that this food should be safe to eat. At least it tastes normal.

"So, what's up?" I question, breaking the awkward silence. I have a feeling this tension is going to be here every time I try to talk to Chunli from now on.

"I don't know, the neighbors?" she sasses with another eyeroll. I swear, if she keeps doing that, something weird is going to happen to her eyes and it'll somehow be my fault for causing all of those eyerolls.

"Um, then, how are you?" I try another approach.

"I was better before you started talking to me," is her rude response. She doesn't even look up to talk to me, busy texting someone or something.

"Who are you talking to?" I ask.

"Do you ever stop talking?" Chunli snaps, her eyes blazing with frustration.

"Gee, you didn't have to snap," I sigh, taking another bite of the chicken.

"Okay, I wouldn't have to snap if you just shut up," she points out.

"Fine, I'll stop talking," I agree.

After a couple minutes of very awkward silence with the usual chewing noises, Chunli pushes her chair back and stands up. "I'm gonna go do something. Be right back."

I just nod, deciding to just stay quiet and not trigger her. Instead, I listen to her footsteps, a little suspicious of her intents. As expected, they stop after only a few seconds, and then I hear the familiar creak of my door.

I guess she's looking for my phone. Not my problem, because I know for a fact that she isn't going to find it. And if she does, my password has been changed, too, along with both the face recognition and the fingerprint sensor disabled.

So she can just do her thing, and I'll keep on being an annoying little sister. Just great.
