I count the money as I talked to King. They've been holding King for no reason.
They don't have a solid case on him so their trying to find things to put against him.
They also put Keyani and her family under protective custody. Well, atleast they tried too.
Her sister committed "suicide" two days ago by taking a bottle full of pills. Her mother is slowly dying from some unknown disease.
Hopefully, she'll drop her case against King soon. But, if she don't I'll find a way to get to her.
"Ace!"
I counted this money three times and I'm still coming up short.
"Wassup, Day," he walked into the room and stood in front of my desk.
"Can you count this?"
I gave him the money, he sat down and counted it.
"It's $800," he put the money back on my desk.
"Yea, that's the problem it's supposed to be 1k," I grabbed my gun from under the desk.
Somebody stealing from us.
"Damn, let me call a meeting."
He pulled his phone from out of his pocket and walked out of the door.
Once everyone was here we held the meeting.
I paced back in forth as Ace talked to the workers.
Even though it's only $200 missing it's the fact that they stole from us.
A lot of our workers face hard times and we try to help them as much as we can but stealing from us ain't it.
I pulled out my gun and shot at the ceiling.
"The longer we stand here, the more our money is going into someone else's hands."
"So, someone start talking or I start shooting," I sat on the edge of the desk and tap the gun on my knee.
I haven't talk to my baby all day. I'll call her later.
"They told me if I didn't get the money they were going to kill my family. I had to protect my family Day-Day," one of the workers said.
"Jacob let me talk to you in the office. The rest of you are dismissed."
I walked into my office with Jacob and Ace following behind me.
Sitting behind the desk I waiting until Jacob sat on the empty chair. Ace stood by the door watching us.
"Who was the person that came up to you," I asked placing my gun on the table.
"Umm, it was the girl and this man. They said they've been watching me and they know I worked for you. They- they took my son Day they took him and they said I have to come up with $1000 and set King up."
"- I couldn't set King up he did so much for me so I try bargaining with them. I have to come up with a million dollars by the end of next week or I won't see my son again."
"Damn, why didn't you tell me when this first happened Jacob. You know we got you. You been with us since the beginning. I happy you didn't set us up and since you didn't I'll help you. But, once this over I'm going to give you and your son some money and y'all leaving."
