IT HAD BEEN THREE DAYS SINCE HAVEN ALLOWED DEREK TO SPEND THE NIGHT WITH HER. She was back to how she was before, with trying to avoid him at all costs. After he told her she didn't have anything to be guilty about, it actually made her feel better. There was less guilt and was beginning to get used to being back home. Derek, however, seemed to be more possessive and protective than usual.
He knew Haven wouldn't allow him to sleep with her in her bed after that night. He tried the night after only to get slapped by her. As much as he should've been angry, he found it quite amusing for her to hit him. It didn't even affect him though. To him it felt like a soft feather. But he let her have the win knowing it would make her feel better. So ever since, he's been camped out on the roof beside her window to make sure the latest threat in town wouldn't go near her. And he made sure she didn't know that he's been camping out where he was.
It was getting harder for her to ignore Derek. She was beginning to rethink her decision on pushing him away. Deep down she knew she still wanted to be with him. It was hard because each time she found the courage to tell him she was ready, the image of him and Erica would flash through her mind. She had become conflicted on what she wanted. Of course she wanted to be with him but at the same time, she didn't when Erica was apart of his pack.
As much as Derek wish he could go back in time and not have bitten Erica, he knew he needed to figure out a way for Haven to trust him. He knew one of the only ways on getting Haven back would be to get rid of Erica. But he couldn't. He needed all the help and strength for the creature that killed Isaac's father and other people. He wasn't sure how he would get her back with Erica in the picture but he was going to try. He needed to prove himself and that was what he was going to do.
For once in his life he felt like the girl in the relationship. He didn't really care though. They were made for each other so it was only a matter of time until they ended up back together again. He just wished it was now instead of waiting. He couldn't focus on anything unless they were together and he could keep an eye on her most of the time. Her safety was more important to him than anything else. He needed to protect her himself.
What he didn't know was the confrontation between Haven and Erica today at school. How Erica threw taunting comments about herself and Derek which sent Haven into a state of fury. But before Haven landed a punch at the blonde girl she absolutely despised, Allison had pulled the girl away. Haven debated on telling Derek but decided against it. She wasn't going to depend on him.
