THE ANGER HAVEN FELT CALMED DOWN THE SLIGHTEST BIT AFTER SLAPPING DEREK. She wished she could say she felt bad for slapping him as hard as she did. He deserved it just as much as Erica deserved the beating. She thought seeing Derek would help her calm down from earlier events. But when she actually saw him, she felt more rage. She didn't understand why.

"I never slept with Erica. I was there today, I heard everything she said and did." Derek said, rubbing his now red cheek. She sure had a mean hit.

"So you saw the fight then," She spoke in declaration, glaring up at him. She sighed in frustration when he gave a small nod. She wanted to hit him again but her body was too exhausted. She was too exhausted.

"You're not going to lose me, okay? I'm here for the long run. No matter what happens, I am not going anywhere." Derek told her while taking a cautious step toward her. When she stood still and didn't stop him from getting closer, he pulled her gently into his embrace. Her body still shook in slight rage but almost immediately relaxed when his arms were around her small frame.

Then she remembered the information Deaton had given her hours earlier, "Are me and you... bonded together?" Derek's entire body tensed at her question, wondering how she could've possibly figured it out. "Please don't lie. I want nothing but the truth, Derek."

"Yes," His voice rasped, almost like he was scared to tell her the truth. "We are."

"How long have you known?" She questioned, leaning her forehead against his chest as her body grew weak from exhaustion.

"I didn't know for sure until after I showed you my home. You didn't think of me any differently. That's when I knew for sure." He explained in a soft comforting tone. Sensing how tired she was, he carefully picked her up and laid he on her bed gently.

When he sat down beside her, he slowly lifted up her shirt only to he stopped by her. "I need to see what she did." He mumbled to her, a pained look settling onto his features. "And how deep they went."

"It's fine, it's not a big deal." She told him, grabbing his hands but he only shook his head at her. "Derek, I–"

"It's not fine! I'm the reason why you're in this position!" He raised his voice, pulling his hands away from her as he stood up abruptly. She flinched at his tone, holding back the tears as he saw the look filled with guilt on his face.

"It's not your fault she was the one who was tormenting me the moment I came back! You didn't know we were going to fight." She tried to reason with him but he was too deep into his head to listen to her. He wouldn't stop blaming himself for everything that happens to her when she's with him. He's meant to protect her and he couldn't even do that.
