Marietta P.O.V

I felt a comfortable soft touch on my forehead like a kiss of soft lips. Someone was scalping my head slowly, developing the urge to sleep more. Recognizing the person I opened my eyes and hugged the person tightly.

"I love you, Mom," I said and felt the comfort of mother essence.

"I love you too, sweety. And Good Morning!" Mom said, hugging me back tightly.

"Thank God I still have you. I don't know, what will I do without you." She kissed my head and added, "You're my only hope to live."

It had been 7 days since I was a prison in my house, more prominently in my own room. Mom and Anna were the only persons treating me in the same way. I had not talked with Daddy for what seemed like ages. While Caro was back to ignoring me. I guess it was a time being thing.

My only strength was my Mom, who was still so strong and hopeful. Then how could I lose hope?

I pulled back and said, "Mom trust me, I did not..."

She cut me off, "Don't be silly. How many times do I have to tell you? I know, don't worry sooner or later the truth will come out." I smiled at her words and kissed her soft cheeks.

"Come on, get freshen up. Today, we will eat breakfast together." She said, standing from the bed.

"But..." I wanted to remind her, might be she had forgotten that I was room grounded.

"No buts, I'm going to talk to your dad. It's been a week. Why the hell he even thought to lock you in the first place? Now, this is enough!" She scrunched her nose up in anger and moved out of my room.

I jumped out of the bed to got ready. Today was going to be a beautiful day. My mind felt like a flower in spring, which bloomed with full ecstasy.

After the shower, I got dressed, a baby blue skirt, reaching down my knees, and an off-shoulder net designing blouse that had a belt around the waist, selecting contrast heels.

I knew Mom could convince Daddy. He couldn't say no to her.

After a while, I was feeling the freshness of the morning. I was about to open the door when it suddenly opened at my face and I stepped back to avoid falling. It was Veward smiling sheepishly.

"Don't you have the manners to knock on the door before entering someone's room?" I said coldly. He had the guts to show me his face after a whole week.

Ignoring my comment he looked at me from head to toe, assessing my outfits, he winked, "Great. You are already ready then let's go. We can't be late."

"Wait. What? Where?" I questioned.

Again ignoring my questions he grabbed my wrist and dragged me downstairs. I didn't protest either. Why would I? When I was going out of that room space after a week? My cold-rude-stupid bodyguards followed us. They didn't interrupt him and I wondered why.

Downstair, Mom was arguing with Daddy on something. They looked at me and Mom glared at him then at Veward then back at Dad. "What the hell you guys are even thinking? This is not happening here. She is not going anywhere!" Mom yelled with a glare.

In response, Daddy kissed her forehead and said, "Be easy. Temper is not good for your health. We will be back soon." Then he turned towards me and Veward. He nodded at Veward while I looked at all the drama dumbfounded.

'What's happening?'

Daddy walked outside while Veward dragged me behind him, passing an apological look at Mom. Now, I tried to snatch my wrist out of his grip but he was too strong. Mom gaped at us with disbelief and anger but she kept quiet.
