9 months later

Y/n's POV

"Mattia! We were supposed to be at your parent's house five minutes ago!" I whisper yelled up the stairs, as I tried not waking up Allegra that was sleeping in my arms. "I'm coming!" he yelled back, as I heard him moving something upstairs. I sighed frustrated and ran my hand through my hair, hoping he would come down soon.

My phone suddenly buzzed, and I pulled it up, revealing a message from Kairi.

Kairi:

Where are you guys? Everyone is here waiting for you :)

Y/n:

Still home. We're gonna be a little late. Hopefully we'll be there in 5 minutes.

It was Allegra's first birthday and we had decided to celebrate it at Mattia's parent's house. It was a good idea, only if Mattia would have learned to get ready on time...

I was about to yell at Mattia again when he appeared at the top of the stairs. He was wearing a black tux with a white blazer, and his fluffy black hair was styled in its usual way. In conclusion, he was looking good as always, but I wasn't planning on telling him that. His face lit up in a smile as he saw me, but it quickly disappeared after seeing the frustrated look on my face.

"I am really sorry, but I couldn't find my belt" he explained as he quickly walked down the stairs and over to me. "Looking good as always" he smiled and kissed the side of my head, before trying to grab Allegra out of my arms.

I moved away and nodded towards the bag on the ground. "Take the bag, I got her". He shook his head and took her out of my hands. "You shouldn't overload yourself in your condition" he answered and gently rubbed his hand against my stomach. "I'm only two months in Mattia. I am not overloading myself if I lift my child" I argued and grabbed the bag.

He chuckled and grabbed the bag out of my hands. "I fell in love with that stubbornness" he joked and winked at me. I playfully rolled my eyes before grabbing the car keys and opening the front door.

After finding out that we were going to have another child we decided that it was time to move out of his parent's house and find our own. Our life was going pretty well, something I thought would never happen because of my past. Every day felt like a blessing when I woke up to both Mattia and Allegra by my side, and now another blessing was coming into our life's.

As I was about to step out of the house, I felt Mattia grab my arm and pull me into a hug. "I love you" he mumbled into my neck before placing a kiss on my jaw. "I love you too, but we have to leave now" I answered and pulled myself out of his grip. He sighed and we locked the front door before walking over to our car.

I sat into the car, and Mattia buckled a sleeping Allegra into her car seat. He put the bag beside her, before walking over to the driver side and sitting in. He started the car and drove out of our driveway before looking over at his phone. He smiled and looked up at me. "One year ago, at this exact time, you were cussing out an innocent nurse" he smirked and looked back at the road.

I laughed and thought back to the day Allegra was born and I started cussing out the poor nurse who was trying to help me. "I still feel bad. Luckily, she didn't care" I replied and glanced at Allegra in the back. "And luckily I was there to shut your mouth" Mattia jokingly answered and looked at me. "Yeah, fortunately you're always there when I need you" I smiled back.

Mattia's POV

We arrived at my parent's house and y/n got out of the car first. I got out too and grabbed the bag before making my way over to y/n who was holding Allegra. "Give her to me if you get tired ok" I said as I looked her up and down. She was wearing a black dress that had a slit going down her thigh, and her wavy black hair was hanging loosely down her shoulder. In conclusion, she was looking good.

She noticed my gaze and gently lifted my face up, so I was looking into her brown eyes. "What are you looking at Polibio?" she smiled as she examined my face. "Just admiring my wife" I simply answered, causing her to blush. I chuckled at her reaction and gave her a quick kiss, before nodding towards the entrance to the house. "Shall we go?"

Y/n's POV

After celebrating Allegra's birthday, she had fallen asleep again and I decided to take her up to our old room in the house. I smiled as I entered the room and saw that nothing had changed. Our bed, Allegra's crib, the closet, the dressing table, everything in the room was in the exact same place as when we left.

I walked over to the bed and tucked Allegra into the duvet before laying down beside her. A few minutes went past, and I heard the door to the room get opened. I sat up and saw Mattia standing in the door opening. "Tired?" he smiled and walked over to me. I shook my head and stood up from the bed, so I was standing in front of him.

He opened his arms and I went straight into them. "Time flies" he mumbled into my neck as I felt him tighten his grip around me. "It does. And I'm really glad that my time flied away with you in it" I answered. He pulled away from me and cupped my face. "I'm the one who should be glad that my time flied away with you in it" he smiled before pulling my face closer to his and attaching our lips together.

"I love you"
