The fall was quick and painless. I can't believe I just did that! I managed to make a portal just by standing near one.
I never really understood my powers and before I had the chance to explore them I was taken away and put into a facility.
I looked at Loki who had landed through the portal next to me.
"Let's go find the others," I signalled to Loki.
He put his finger over his mouth telling me to be quiet and pointed behind me. Behind me I saw the group of people we had just left a few minutes ago. Nat was sitting on a chair with her head in her hands and the others were surrounding her asking how they were going to come back to get us.
Me and Loki crept up behind them and then I spoke. "So, guys, that seemed successful!" I spoke in my normal voice and spooked everyone.
Me and Loki started laughing as everyone else rolled their eyes and got annoyed at me. I held my fist up to the frost giant waiting for a response and instead he just gave me a a confused look. "No? Okay." I laughed to myself.
I watched Loki who was shaking his head and laughing at me, however, my smile was interrupted by Nat hitting me on the arm.
"Hey what was that for?" I exclaimed blocking my face.
"I though you were stuck there." She carried on hitting me. She looked like she had cried a bit.
"Woah, woah, I'm back now... gosh... Have you been crying?" I asked cupping her face.
"I don't cry!" She bragged, straightening herself up.
"Uh huh," I laughed.
"Good mission y/n, we though we lost you for a minute there," Steve said patting me on the back. I nodded and smiled.
"So what was it you needed me for anyway y/n?" Loki asked sternly.
"Follow me," I gestured leaving the others behind.
"Shouldn't we wait for the others?"
"I thought you weren't one to play by the rules? Or is that God so Mischief thing a lie?" I mocked.
He rolled his eyes at me, "of course I am, mortal, but I don't like being used and want to make sure you aren't trying to kill me,"
"If I wanted you dead, I would have left you with guards," I replied.
We reached the doors of the office and I pushed open the door and walked over to the table.
"Aliens can't kill me, you know I'm a God right?" He bragged.
"Okay mister cocky!" I laughed and started to tap the table, "plus aren't you some alien frost giant thing?"
He chuckled. I could feel his eyes piercing into me from the other side of the table.
"Do I look like a giant?" He asked, sincerely.
How do I answer that? I mean he's definitely Godly... snap out of it y/n I need to sort this rock thingy out.
"Okay so... we tried to find me all over the place and this was the weirdest thing we found," I explained bringing up a photo of the rock with carvings.
Loki looked at the hologram and his eyes widened in shock.
"You've seen it before?" I asked.
He laughed and shook his head, "no, it's a rock."
I rolled my eyes. "But the writing..." I spoke, "can you read it?"
He zoomed in on the writing and started typing on the table.
