Who Am I

It wasn't until weeks later did Zhou Ling notice that there was something wrong with her body.

Yes, she was injured and her right side should have been fully damage but this time her whole body was injured and she couldn't move her head until weeks later.

Once she did move her head she realizes her body had changed. Zhou Ling would often play outside when she was young which causes her skin to change from white to a wheat tone. Yet this time her hand was clearly white as jade and was even smaller than she remembered.

Over time, she began to learn that she was not only named Wang Lei but was also currently a 10 year old.

Her grandfather was also a mysterious man who was often called Master Wang by his subordinates who would wear suits as if they are his bodyguards. Master Wang would visit her every day and talk about the weather as well as the news about the outside world.

Zhou Ling was very suspicious of the old man but after noticing that he means no harm and clearly treats her as one of his own kind, she began to accept the man as her family.

Zhou ling's body might have injured her right side only but Wang Lei had broken bones all over her body that it was surprising how she could still survive. The doctor simply praises that it was because she was still young so her future was still bright as it was a miracle that she could still heal well.

There was a broken ribcage, both hands and feet were also broken but slightly as it could be healed over time. Her head was also injured on the left side but the doctor promised that there would be no scar. Zhou Ling also learned that although her injuries were worse, she mostly survived because both her parents had shielded her with their body.

Zhou Ling was sometimes jealous of Wang Lei as she grew up to be loved by her parents and even her grandfather was caring. She also seems to be raised in a noble family but her jealousy only lasted a while since Wang Lei had now died and it was Zhou Ling's soul that took over her body.

Nonetheless, Zhou Ling would often wonder about her mother. Since her soul had transmigrated somewhere unfamiliar, Zhou Ling wonders if her mother was successfully saved by the other people.

It was only after a month that Zhou Ling was able to speak. The doctor explained that they had to operate on her neck as she had swallowed a glass fragment during the accident and that her vocal cord might be affected (A/N: Idk if this is possible or not so don't ask me since this is all from my imagination :p).

When Zhou Ling was able to speak, her voice ran on a deeper tone than expected but it was a mesmerizing husky voice that could charm anyone that heard it.

Master Wang was the most surprised as Wang Lei used to have a cute voice that sounded like birds singing but hearing her current voice now, Master Wang only thought that it sounded like a male no matter what and nobody would think that his grandchild was a female unless they knew her well. Then another idea emerges in Master Wang's mind.

Zhou Ling didn't mind if her voice sounded deeper and was more of a male as she also had a deeper voice in her previous life. In fact, she thought her current voice was very attractive somehow.

The first thing Zhou Ling did when she had a voice was ask Master Wang, "Who am I?"

Master Wang suddenly felt dizzy from his grandchild's silliness, "What do you mean who you are. You are Wang Lei, my grandchild."

Master Wang was smiling as he said those words but the smile soon disappear when he realizes how serious Zhou Ling was when she asked that question.

He immediately looks at the doctor who was just as surprised as he was.

"You mean- all along you didn't know who you were? Did you lost your memories from the beginning?" the doctor asked with one brow being raised.

Zhou Ling had long contemplated on whether or not, to tell the truth before but in the end, she decided not to say anything about her transmigration because even she herself did not understand what happened to her.

Treat is as a fart, she thought since anything was normal now. Her soul had taken over a noble child who was just 10 years old after all. Who else would believe her in this world?

And so, Zhou Ling nods and told the doctor and Master Wang how she doesn't have any collection of her memories from the beginning. It was the truth after all because Wang Lei's memories refuse to appear and so Zhou Ling never really knew how her parents look like currently.

Master Wang was very shocked but he didn't collapse even if his head was throbbing painfully with stress at the moment.

After a while, Master Wang had relaxed and brought Zhou Ling back to her room to rest.

That day, Master Wang did not leave her side at all and late at night when Zhou Ling was awake, Master Wang decided to have a talk with her.

She didn't know what was coming but once she heard Master Wang's talk, suddenly, Zhou Ling regretting becoming Wang Lei.
