Feelings

Wang Lei and Song Lan left the mansion when it was around 10 am in the morning and the first place they visit was a shopping centre.

"Why are we here?" Song Lan could not help but ask.

"To buy some clothes. I know Li Xiaoli has been buying your items for you so you never had the chance to buy them in real life. You'll need to experience this sooner or later after all", Wang Lei replied and drags Song Lan to one of the most expensive boutiques.

In reality, Wang Lei wanted to shower Song Lan with gifts that she thought she would like but Song Lan did not seem interested and so they only bought one or two things before they moved to another.

They then ate at the food court in the shopping centre and Wang Lei told Song Lan to eat whatever she wanted so she choose to have a hamburger meal.

Wang Lei realized she rarely ate fast food in this life so she also joined Song Lan and when the two were sitting together, all eyes were on them.

Song Lan was not used to the stares and felt uncomfortable. Wang Lei who was used to the stares told her to not mind anyone, "They are just charmed by your beauty".

Who wouldn't when suddenly two beautiful and good-looking couples appeared out of nowhere in a fast food court. Not to mention how they thought Wang Lei looks quite familiar but couldn't put a hand on it because something was different.

"You will have to get used to this as you will experience this often", Wang Lei advised and Song Lan nods in agreement and continues to focus on eating until they were both done. 

Wang Lei could see that Song Lan was not used to the crowd but she also did not run away. It also seems that Wang Lei could not let Song Lan go yet despite having known that she has no family members left that could take care of her now.

Li Xiaoli found out about Song Lan's real identity as a girl called Cattleya. Her mother used to be an international model who looks identical to her and her father was a famous painter who got commissioned to showcase his works in Hangyuan City. That was when tragedy befall them.

Song Lan's mother, Azalea had no living family members left while Giotto was the same as he was an orphan. There was no one else left to take care of Song Lan so Wang Lei was registered as her guardian. But Song Lan doesn't know about this yet as Wang Lei doesn't know how to tell her.

"Master Wang?" Song Lan's voice brought Wang Lei back to reality as her mind must have been wandering seeing how Song Lan was looking at her with worry. 

"...Where do you want to go next?" Wang Lei smiled and those that saw this felt their heart quicken in pace. But Song Lan who was used to it only thought for a while and said, "I want to go to an amusement park"

"Okay", Wang Lei immediately replies and made Song Lan happy.

Her smile made Wang Lei feel a forgotten emotion as she could feel her heart beating faster but she lets that thought disappear as she said that they would go and have fun at an amusement park.

Had she known Song Lan wanted to go there, Wang Lei would have brought her to the park from the beginning as they had to wait for a while to go on rides but Song Lan did not mind waiting and spent the time chatting with Master Wang and felt that their bond has gotten strong.

From the beginning when they arrived at the shopping centre, Song Lan focused on Wang Lei and noticed that everyone was enamoured by him. Male and Female, Old and Young, Master Wang caught everyone's attention, even Song Lan herself.

Master Wang was someone who she respected and look up to. She already knew about her family as she heard Li Xiaoli talking about it with Master Wang back then and thought that they would abandon her but instead, Master Wang still kept her by his side and even encouraged her to follow her dream.

Song Lan was especially shocked when she found out Master Wang was only 3 years older than her yet she felt that he was older and mature as he had more responsibilities than one would expect. So when she got to see Master Wang having fun while enjoying the rides, Song Lan felt her heart getting warm and she wishes that Master Wang would be happy.

The two choose the Ferris wheel as their final ride and Wang Lei notice that Song Lan was quietly watching over her. Song Lan didn't even notice as some of her hair had gotten stuck on her cheeks so Wang Lei held out her hand and caress the hair behind Song Lan's ear as she asked, "What are you thinking about?" 

When Wang Lei made eye contact with Song Lan, Song Lan could not help but notice the distance between them and Wang Lei saw how her ears were glowing red as the red then reaches her cheeks.

'How cute', Wang Lei thought.

She always reminded herself to treat Song Lan as the younger sibling but since she had no experience doing so, Wang Lei did not have a sense of boundary and mostly just patted Song Lan's head.

Song Lan herself was still traumatized from Gong Bo's abuse and always had her guard up whenever she was facing a man. Before, she was also tense when she had to meet up with Wang Lei but not as much as the others as somehow Song Lan had this feeling that she would be safe whenever she was with Wang Lei.

Even now as Wang Lei caress her cheeks, she could feel a warmth that gets her blood pumped and a weird feeling that she didn't know if she liked or disliked.

Wang Lei wasn't a fool herself. She knew what type of look Song Lan was giving her as it was the same way as her friend Qiao Xiu gave to her as did many others.

She knew well of her current circumstances and did not want to cross the boundary as she was afraid Song Lan would run away once she knew the real her. So she withdrew her hand once she explained a hair was about to fall into her mouth and looks outside into the distance.
