Waiting For Forever

Companion!

Prompt : Right after Amrit gives Uday's clothes to Vashma for their baby. 

"Haa Amrit hindustan ki tarah mai bhi aazaad hu, mai apne bacche ko uske waalid ke kapde pehnaungi, use bilkul Uday ki tarah banaungi.." Vashma remembered her words, she said to her best friend. Her tears were flowing continusely as she was standing alone. She has been standing their for last ten minutes in her musings, just that she is being accompanied by her tears which she doesn't know if are of happiness or deep pain. Vashma was feeling a lot of emotions building up inside her as Amrit gave her HIS clothes, the ones Uday used to wear as a child. Well he's still a child for her, angry grumpy and super sentimental. She decided that she will make their baby wear these clothes and will built his or her character like Uday just not because he's the father of their baby but also because he's a man who's all about his words.

"Amrit Amrit sunna..! Uday dil ka bura nhi hai.." A reminiscence crossed a standing Vashma's mind when she was walking behind a sad Amrit. Once when days were good, when everyday sunlight used to look like a beam of gold and moonlight shimmery silver in his aura, when she was just submerged in his friendship, Uday reprimanded Amrit for writing her heart out as a writer, because he felt very scared for his little sister getting caught by tayaji. But he didn't tell her the reason and straight away yelled at her to stop. Amrit felt bad so she paced inside her room, while Vashma tried to settle her mood. 

"Nahi Vashma. Aaj Uday veerji ki taraf daari na kario. Mainu unse ye umeed nhi thi ke vo mainu... apni choti behen nu daat lagaenge, vo bhi likhne ke liye. Vo to khud mere sapno ko samjhte hain par aaj.. "

"Amrit ye hui na baat. Tune khud hi sach kehdia.. vo tere sapno ko samjhta hai!!" Vashma smiled sadly holding her chin. 

"To fir tu hi bataa.. ke achanak se unhe kya hua.." Amrit asked as she knows she can't be angry with her brother and Vashma must have known the reason.

"Thode din pehle tujhe yaad hainaa.. chacha ji ne use kitna daata tha hockey khelne ke liye.. to vo tujhe apni haalat me nhi dekhna chahata. Uday bas... dar raha hai.. tere liye..! Vo esa hi hai Amrit. Jinse vo bahut mohobbat karta hai, unke liye darta hai.. pr sahi samay aane pr vo insaan bhi Uday hi hota hai jo madad karta hai,, us mohobbat ke liye dunia se lad jaata hai. Amrit vo tujhe bhut pyaar karta hai. Oye Tere sapne vo sirf isliye nhi samjhta kyuki vo khud apni aankhon me hockey ka sapna leke betha hai,, oye vo tujhe samjhta hai kyuki vo ek bahut acha insaan hai. Use apni behen ki likhaavat pr bharosa hai, fakr hai.. Aaj vo tujh pr isliye chillaya kyuki use lagaa ke kahi tujhe bhi Raanjhan banne se rok dia gaya.. to vo tab kya karega. Vo apne aap ko band kamre me kamzor kehta hai kyuki vo lad nhi paa raha hai.. naa apne liye na tere liye. Jabki us buddhu ko ye nhi pataa ki ye uski kamzori nhi,, bado ke liye uske dil me lihaaz or aankhon me sharm hai. Isliye usne tujhe hi rokne ki koshish kari..! Uday bahut acha insaan hai Amrit. Dil ka saaf, saada, koi mail nhi. Par iska matlab ye bhi nhi ki vo kamzor hai. Kyuki oye jinke dilo me mohobbat hoti haina,, dusro ke liye lihaaz hota hai, vo hi to is dunia me sabse kargar saabit hota hai. Usi ki to is kainaat me jeet hoti hai. Use tere alaawa is ghar me or koi pyaara nahi hai  Amrit. Abhi ruk, paanch minute.. sirf paanch minute me tujhe vo yaha dikhega..."

"kyu ab itni tareef karne ke baad tu unse maafi bulvaegi mere naal.." Amrit asked eyeing her. 

"oye nhi, mera bachpan ka dost hai, jaanti hu mai use, khud hi aayega.." she said when Uday called  "Amrit..! Amrit.."  and Vashma raised her eyebrows like a winner " dekha.." While Amrit smiled and moved her head as she was in awe of Vashma's knowledge about her veerji. She stood up and as soon as Amrit opened the gate, Uday hugged her keeping his hockey aside.
