A/n: sorry for the break up :(  This chapter is going to be quite sad, and I assure you again that this is not the end, and the sun will shine on you and Loki again.

You stood, looking at your feet instead of what was left of Asgard.
"Y/n, he's alright, I know he is." Thor patted you gently on the back.
You looked up at him with tears in your eyes and nodding slowly. You bit your lip to try to stop the grovelling, gut wrenching feeling, pooling at the bottom of your stomach." Yeah, I'd like to believe that."

You smiled thinking back on your memories together, regretting your decision to end things. It still doesn't make up for the lies and heartbreak though. "Its kind of funny actually, how much faith you can have in a person."
"Y/n, I'm gonna sort this out, i'll be back soon. Try not to self destruct again, for me and Loki, please." He said gesturing to his missing eye then back to you.
"Yeah okay. Actually, let me help. It will get my mind off things."

He smiled, scrunching his nose slightly and squeezed your hand, walking off and making sure you knew to follow. He led you to room with a table and a mirror, with some medical supplies filling drawers on the table. You sat him down and grabbed an eye patch and some cotton wool and an antiseptic solution you found just laying around.

"This will sting." You slightly pulled at the skin around his eye, examining the the red flesh. You opened the antiseptic solution and smelt it.
"Oh, thats vodka." You coughed.
"It will still work the same won't it."
"Yeah but it will sting a lot more."

"I handled my eye being ripped out, I think I can survive this."
"Suit yourself." You mumbled before dabbing the vodka on the cotton wool. You slightly held the cotton on his face and he breathed in sharply. You smirked to yourself, before cleaning the rest of his wound. You got rid of all the appropriate parts and adjusted the golden eye patch over what was left of his eye.
"How's that?" You asked, gesturing towards the mirror for him to take a look.

He smiled sadly. "They would've been proud, all three of them." You rested your head next to his on his shoulder and looked at him through the mirror.
"You think so?"
"Loki would've made a few comments, but yeah. He loved- I mean loves you more than anything." You place a quick kiss on his cheek before leaving him be.

You walked a lap around the ship, exploring all the empty rooms, all of them just reminded you how lonely you felt. Once you couldn't avoid the feeling you went to find Thor, looking in the medical room first. You knocked and Thor yelled for you to come in.

"I know it hasn't even been half an hour, but I'm really lonely and I feel that if I'm not around people, I will just start crying and never be able stop. I just really need a hug and I know exactly who from but I cant because I just cant avoid it. I'm really sorry Thor, but Loki is dead, and he's not coming back so you might as well get over it now before we both become messes." You ranted completely oblivious the conversation he was having and who with. You marched up to him and sat on his lap, cuddling into his chest.

"I'm sorry Thor, I just miss him so much already."
"Why?" You knew that voice anywhere but it wasn't Thor. You stood up sharply, looking directly at them.
"Loki?"
"Hey, pet."
You crashed into him, wrapping your arms tightly around his torso, slightly cutting off his oxygen supply.

"Y/n, I might need to breathe."
"Oh right, sorry." You stepped back and slapped across the face, hard enough to leave a mark.
"That was for the lies a-and the stupidity of crossing me and leaving and just being your goddam annoying, charming, selfish, loyal, cheating, idiotic, sexy, funny, asshole self."
"I guess I deserve that." He said rotating his jaw.

"I'm surprised thats all you did you him." Thor smiled widely at the reunion, " so does this mean that you two are..." he made some weird motion with hands that you assumed to mean together. You looked at Loki, who had a hopeful look in his eyes.
"To be decided after a proper talk." You said, confused at your own emotions.

Loki winked you and Thor bit his lip, enjoying the tension in the room. A knock at the door broke the uncomfortable, deafening silence. You opened the door to find Valkyrie.
"What's wrong?"
She was obviously stressed about something.
"There is a big purple and and black circle ship thingy heading for us at an alarming rate."

Loki's eyes widened with fear, you had only seen him like this when he worries for other people. He raced out of the room, finding the nearest window which happened to be the main control room. You, Thor and Valkyrie followed him, concerned at his reaction. You all stood next to him looking out the window. You focused on reading Loki's mind.
Thanos' ship. This is it.

"Lokes?"
"You need to get out of here." He said dragging you away from the others.
"Why, who's Thanos?"
"He believes in balance," he kicked a door open,"that doesn't matter anymore. You need to get to the back of the ship, cast the strongest illusion you can."
"I'm scared."
"I know you are, but you have to trust me. Stay out of sight, please."
"Lok-"
"No you don't understand, stay hidden. I-I cant lose you too. Just go." He pushed you slightly towards a door, his voice breaking and tears fighting to leave his eyes.

"I love you. Don't do anything stupid." Your voice trembling.
"I love you too." He kissed you passionately, sending butterflies through your stomach and flustering you. When he pulled back you saw that he pushed you through the next door.
"Please, stay safe." He said, closing and locking the door in between you and him.

You saw him turn away though the small window in the door. "I'm sorry." You said barely audible. You waited a couple seconds before following him silently, casting an illusion to make you invisible. There was a loud crash that temporarily turned the ship on its side, both you and Loki gripped the wall, moving slowly.

When everything stopped shaking you both sped up. When he got to the main room with the others, there was a large purple man standing over hundreds of bodies.
You gasped and your hand flew to cover your gaping mouth. Loki turned around and recognised your illusions instantly and teleported you to the other side of the ship. You sighed and tried to teleport back but you noticed a cuff on your wrist. You swore at yourself and ran back to the main room again and tried to take the cuff off.

When you got there you saw Loki on the floor with his veins popped and his eyes bulged, just like the flashing images. Thor was hugging his limp body as Thanos walked away.
This wasn't an illusion, or a trick, he was gone.
