Some men dragged her and her brother out of the car then put the leashes on them. She was powerless...
They both cried and screamed for their father to help them...
But he didn't, they were put in cages and taken away...

"Papa!" "Papa!!!" "Paapaaa!!!!"

She woke up!

Efe woke up in her bedroom again. The milk curtains were drawn and she was alone, she turned to the door, it stood open. She also heard Ayo's voice making her stumble towards the door. Her legs felt like bendy straws, she leaned on the walls for support knocking off a painting in the process. Ayo wasn't in the kitchen so she followed his voice and found him in a storage room next to the parlor. Was he singing?

"Melo melo ohho melo melo…"

"Ayo?" She called blinking a lot as she walked in. "Ayo?" She called him again still he didn't answer. He just kept staring at a painting until she touched his shoulder. He jumped back with a shout then pulled out his earphones.

"You shouldn't scare people like that!" He held his chest. His hair had grown a little,  she noticed. He also felt different. She didn't know how to explain it. "Come on let's get you back to your room darling" she paused.

"You're not Ayo" she looked him in the eye. 'Am I still dreaming?' He stood in front of her now with his back to the doorway.

"No I'm not" he gently held her hand to pull her forward. "Let's get you back to bed or are you hungry?"

"Efe?" Someone else called from the door. Her eyes blurred out the guy in front of her and focused on the other one.

"Ayo?" She questioned getting really confused. Two Ayo's?
The one at the door walked up to her and hugged her. Efe instantly melted into his touch as soon as she inhaled his scent. It was very different from the other guy's. She just knew it the moment he hugged her. 'This is Ayo'. She hugged him back tightly as tears betrayed her, dripping from her eyes. She felt like she just woke from years of bad dreams. Efe grabbed the back of his shirt as if by doing that, she could keep him with her, she missed him but didn't know why. What felt like an hour standing there was only a few minutes. Ayo broke the hug, seeing as he towered over her, bent to ask
"Are you okay? Is anything wrong?"

"I'm fine... I just... I don't know sef" Efe sniffed, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand, she smiled at him. "I'll be okay. I always am" she recited her chant. It was what she always said to everyone including herself when things were not going too well for her.
"I'm hungry" she quickly changed the subject.

"What do you want to eat?" Ayo held her hand to back out of the dim store room.

"Something with a lot of milk and sugar" Efe replied.

"Okay... I'll... " A voice cut Ayo off.

"Okay, That's nice! Just forget about me. I'm standing right here!!" The voice faked annoyance and sadness.
They both turned to face the other Ayo. Ayo laughed at his twin brother then introduced them.

"Efe this is Mide, my twin brother and Mide this is Efe" Ayo gestured to the both of them.

"It's good to finally meet you awake Efe" Mide smiled stretching out a hand to shake hers which she gave him still confused.

*******************

"How long was I out that you had to call for your brother for help?" Efe downed the third bowl of golden morn. It wasn't her fault. She hadn't eaten anything in almost three days and she really liked baby food.

"Well your temperature kept rising and falling so I was having a really hard time taking you in and out of the tub... "

"Wait! Tub?" Her face dropped "Did you..." She looked at her clothes, they were not the same "My clothes... Did you see..." She didn't know how to ask the question

"What?" Ayo asked, a little confused. "Oh!!! Yes, I changed your clothes. Well not me, the Gateman's wife did."

"Hmm... Okay" Efe's mind rested from all the thoughts that were running through it. "So... Mide is that your full name or is it a short form?" Efe changed the topic.

"Well, mom and dad thought they were expecting just one child so they already planned the name Ayomide but when God did a miracle and she had twins, they just gave the both of us the name so we had to sort ourselves out with the short form." He laughed

"I'm older by three seconds so I took Ayo and he took..."

"Mide" Efe finished for Ayo. "It makes sense... I mean who would want to start thinking of a name... for the... other... child" she spoke between spoons.

Once she was done eating, she proceeded to explain everything she saw in her dreams to them. Mide kept making jokes to lighten up her mood whenever she got too sad and Ayo patted the back of her hand.

As she spent time with them, she began to notice the differences between them. They weren't much though, even as they were identical, she could see that Ayo was more built than Mide, Mide had a slightly deep voice and an off point playful character while Ayo looked playful but was actually the serious one.

There were some moments that Ayo just stared at Mide while he was talking. She just brushed it over with the fact that they hadn't seen each other in about six months.
Ayo was an artist while Mide was a musician, he could play about ten different instruments and they both could sing.

All in all, Mide was the carefree one while Ayo was the Level headed calm one.

"And there's one more thing." She spoke up after a few minutes.

"What's that love?" Mide absently replied, scrolling through twitter.

"I now know who the little Aura girl is!"

They both snapped their heads in her direction.

"She's me from six years ago!"
