tw: Idk, bit of a panic attack. Nothing too graphic though
I followed the three Asgardians down twisting hallways, passing several shocked people on our way. They each stared at me until I passed, then ran away talking with others in hushed voices. It made me want to run and hide. I didn't like being paraded around like a circus animal, but I knew it was the only option if I wanted answers.
Frigga, who I had figured out was their mother's name, pushed open two huge doors to reveal shelf upon shelf of books. "Wow," I gasped as we all walked in. "That's a lot of books." I heard Frigga chuckle, laying a hand on my shoulder. What is with these people and touching me?
"Loki," Frigga began as I shrugged off her hand. "Please go find the book please." I watched as he nodded and walked off into the shelves.
I wandered around, dragging my fingers on the spines of the books as we waited. My reading skills weren't great, but I always liked looking at pictures. They could always say more anyways.
"Found it!" Loki called out, jogging out and holding a huge book in his hands.
"Thank you," Frigga whispered to him before taking the book from him. I walked back over, staring at the front. There was a picture of a girl on the cover who looked just like me. It was more of a rough sketch, but the extra arms, wings, and white hair matched perfectly.
"Who..." I trailed off, my fingers lightly dancing over the picture. Frigga just smiled and opened it.
"This is everything on our legends, but the most important one in here is about you." She flipped to almost the end of the book, stopping when she came to the same picture that was on the cover. "Goddess of Light," She read, seemingly from the strange symbols on the next page. "It is stated that just before Asgard would meet it's end, she would come." All three of us were gathered around Frigga, staring in fascination at the book.
"Although, no one was able to predict if she would help or hurt. It was said she has the power to destroy or save Asgard, but she decided which. That's why everyone is acting like this. They are afraid that one bad word could make you change your mind." She looked up at me, but I couldn't meet her eyes.
"Trust me, I don't plan of destroying anything. Even if people are assholes, I wouldn't sacrifice a whole world to hurt one person." I was whispering at this point, my whole body feeling cold. "I would never."
"We know that, but they don't." Frigga responded, passing the book back to Loki. "That's why we need to show you to them. To make sure they know you are here to help." I nodded at her words, wringing my hands. The fact that I could turn like that, hurt so many people, was making my skin crawl. Could I really do that? I jolted when I felt someone touching my wing. I grabbed their hand, my body itching to fight back, but I just let go.
"Don't do that," I hissed at Thor, curling my wings closer. I wanted to hide again. He looked sorry, but I was focused on other things. How in the fuck am I going to save an entire world?
"Come on," Frigga said, walking out of the room. "Let's go talk to my husband. He will be able to set up a celebration to allow for you to tell everyone your plans."
"And when will that be?" I asked, following her closely.
"Hopefully, tonight."

"Who is this?" Boomed Odin from his throne. I just rolled my eyes. I was over this whole high and mighty bullshit from him. He was just trying to act like he was the boss. Both Thor and Loki were staring at the floor like scolded children. I had been around enough men like him to know not to be afraid.
