I was still sitting in the same spot as before when Bucky walked into the room. I glanced up from my work for a second before looking back down.
"What's wrong now?" I asked, pulling up the programing for his arm onto my screen. "Or are you just looking for a new update?" He chuckled before sitting down next to me.
"Have I ever told you how friendly you are?" I glared at him.
"Haha, so funny." I turned my attention back to my computer as he smirked at me.
"Oh come on! I can't come down here to talk?" My eye roll told him all he needed to know. "Ok, fine. Stark is bothering me about what you are doing with my arm and I can't get him to shut up."
"What does that have to do with me?" He winced before giving me a small smile.
"He wants to meet you. Like have an actual conversation about your programing. Apparently he didn't really look into your credentials when you began your internship here." I looked at him like he was crazy before bursting out in laughter.
"I would rather rip my own arms off! There's no way I'm meeting with that prick! He is out of his mind, and, to be frank, so are you." I began to type furiously on my keyboard again, trying to figure out this weird bug in Lilith's system. For some random reason, she started speaking Russian and it got on my last nerve. Currently she was shut down and waiting to be rebooted with the bug gone.
"I known you don't like him," Bucky said tapping loudly on the table, "And I don't blame you. He is kinda a prick. But, he's a prick that I happen to live with, so can you please help me? Just for a few hours?" I glared at him again.
"No, no, no, no, NO! I can't-"
"Won't," he corrected me. I stopped typing so I could give him the full force of my stare. "Sorry. Please continue."
"I'm NOT sitting down with that guy. Or any of your upstairs friends. I hate them and you know that. There is no way in hell." Thinking that we were finished with the conversation, I turned my eyes back down and began to work again. I heard the jangling of keys, causing my head to snap up.
"If you do this one this for me, I'll give you the one thing you always ask for." He dangled the keys in front of my face, tempting me. When he had moved into the tower, he had kept his old apartment "just in case". I had asked to stay there while he was here, but every time he refused. Maybe if this is what it took........
"A few hours huh?" I asked, not taking my eyes off of the keys. Bucky shook them again, practically making me drool all over the table.
"Yup. Just talk with Stark for a little bit, then this is yours."
"For how long?" I pried my eyes away from the keys to look straight into his eyes.
"As long as you need." I was silent for a minute, mulling it over. Bucky grew impatient and shook them with more force. That was it.
"Fine." I groaned, snatching the metal out of his hand. "When?"
"Today. Right now." I glared at his smug smile.
"I swear, one day I'm going to fry your arm so bad you'll be feeling it for weeks." Bucky only chuckled at me.
"Of course you will."
