It was early morning in the Slytherin dorms, yet it was already busy.

In the Entrance Hall, students were gathering to check last-minute homework, gossip under the stairs, or plan how to pull off a prank on the Gryffindors.

Students milled around the Common Room, fretting about school, Hogsmeade, a particularly strict teacher, or other things.

Somewhere down a particularly well-hidden corridor, a door is opened just a crack and voices are coming from it.

          "...where's Harry?"

          "I don't know...left last night....."

"Midnight? But wherever could he have gone?"

"Dunno, Pansy......Draco Lucius Malfoy! Give me back my hair brush!!! How am I supposed to keep my hair so perfectly luscious!!!!"

Across the hall, the wall ripples.

Out of it strides one Harry Potter, fully robed with a book bag over his shoulder. He pushes the dorm room open and instantly has Blaise and Theo bombarding him with questions while Draco frets over the state of Harry's hair and Pansy starts on about who in the world designed these unfashionable Hogwarts school robes?! I will personally kill them!!!

Harry just laughs and says he was in his room. It seems to be enough for the five of them. Their group continues into the Entrance Hall. At the top of the staircase network, they meet up with Vincent and Greg before hurrying down the stairs and into the Common room.

"What do you all have for first period?" Theo asks.

They start comparing schedules. It seems as though they have nearly everything together. Harry has Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, Herbology, DADA, and History of Magic with Draco, Pansy, Theo, Blaise, Vincent, and Greg. However, he only shares Astronomy with Pansy and Flying is with Theo, Vincent, and Greg. Darn. He'll have to take Flying with his oh-so-famous brother.

It's quite obvious to Harry who his friends are.

Pansy Marie Parkinson is the gossip queen. She knows everything about everyone and, boy can she blackmail!

Draco Lucius Malfoy is Slytherin's Ice Prince. He barely shows emotion in public. His family has so many connections that it's impossible to cut ties with him and then keep in touch with any other respectable pureblood family.

Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle are the sons of two loyal Death Eaters. They're rather slow but are nevertheless quite imposing. They make the perfect bodyguard figures.

Blaise Zabini is the son of one of the most sought-after women in the Wizarding world. He has inherited all of her charms and he sure knows how to flirt. His brain can whirr at one hundred miles per minute and he's the sort of person you'd want as Secret Keeper.

Theodore Nott is the son of another notorious Inner-Circle Death Eater. He is the grandson of one of the original Death Eaters (then called the Knights of Walpurgis), Tadeas Nott. He is the resident bookworm and is like a living, breathing encyclopedia. You need information? He has it.

Harry smiles internally. With his family being one of the most notorious Death Eaters and his godfather being a former Order of the Flaming Chickens member, all be has to do it keep building connections. Later, Harry knows what he wants to do: He wants to join the Dark Lord. But, not as a Death Eater, no! An equal. Someone who can reign beside his Lord.

He remembers.

...Hello there, little one. I'm not that bloodthirsty, and I'm sorry I have to do this. But this is a war. Lives have to be taken in war. If only Albus bloody Dumbledore and his Order of the Flaming Chickens hadn't proclaimed an official war, none of this need happen. I'm sorry. But it's the only way. Goodbye.
