I took the boys out of the bathtub and dressed them in their pajamas.

"Can we talk to daddy before bed?" Ezra, our 5 year old asked.

"Sure, my love." I answered as I ran my hand over his wet curls.

I grabbed my phone and FaceTimed Finn.
I handed the phone to Ezra as Elliot, our 3 year old, snuggled next to him so he could see.
The ringing stopped and I heard Finn's voice.

"Bubbas!" Finn beamed.

"Daddy!" They said in unison.

"I miss you boys."

"We miss you too!" Elliot exclaimed.

"When are you coming home?" Ezra asked.

"Soon, bub."

Finn wasn't coming home for another week. He was directing a movie in New York.

"So what'd you guys do today?"

"We watched Nemo and played outside"

"And mommy made us waffles!" Elliot chimed in.

"Oh yum! It sounds like you two had a fun day. You boys better get to sleep."

"We don't wanna!" Elliot pouted.

"We want to talk to you!" Ezra said.

"I'll talk to you tomorrow, okay? I love you both so much. Goodnight! Mwah." Finn playfully kissed the camera.

"Mwah!" The boys did the same.

"Now can I talk to mommy?"

Ezra handed the phone back to me.

"Hi, mommy." Finn smiled.

"Shut up." I shook my head and laughed.
"How's the movie?"

"Good. Better than expected."

"That's good to hear, love."

"Mhm. I just can't wait to be home with you guys."

"Us too. Where are you?" I asked when I noticed the background.

"Oh uh, in a cab. On my way to the hotel."

"Ah. Well, I should tuck the boys in and get ready for bed."

"Okay baby, I'll see you soon."

I nodded. "I love you. Goodnight."

"Goodnight. I love you more. Mwah!" Finn playfully kissed the camera again and I chuckled at him.

"You have to do it back."

I playfully rolled my eyes and chuckled before kissing the camera back.
"Mwah!"
