"My brothers," Clara tried saying again, heat rising to her cheeks at the bare chests reminiscence of a warrior's build. She fidgeted with the belt of her gown, knowing that this was a sight any maiden would envy. She cleared her throat. "My brothers are with who?"

"Princess," Nicol said, the muscled panes of his torso rippling with the words, "You're blushing."

"I am not." Of course she was. She knew she wasn't beautiful, that she wasn't some pretty princess. She loved fighting and riding horses, drinking and wearing armor instead of gowns. The Goddess cursed her with such a burdensome position. She wasn't desirable towards anyone, but she wasn't so different to not be flustered looking at... that.

"Is it the heat?" Maze asked, wiping a brow of sweat with his forearm. "I can get you some water."

Henri frowned. "It is rather hot." Eric's muscles tightened as he nodded.

Clara didn't say a word. Because... she was not certain she wanted that.
