They say a new queen is rising,
But what is heard is crying.
As heads pile up and blood runs free,
Do they even remember me?
The world has always been mine,
Never was it thine,
But men claimed it and now rule,
Though it should not be true.

Now my power returns,
And I feel my thoughts churn.
They envy her crowns that are jewel-stud,
But what I want is her blood.
I never wanted to see,
The benevolent ruler is not me,
Fight fire with fire, they say,
So arrives the day.

I descend from the far land,
The queen comes to meet my demand.
Mortals run and scream,
Never again will they dream.
And as I turn to their queen,
It is quite a scene,
As I realize I know her,
And it causes an inner stir.

The one who disappeared,
The one who never feared
The person I never lied to
Was the one who left, too.
They say out of sight, out of mind,
But I remember her kind.
I see the day we were bound,
When she promised I had been found.

Even goddesses have hearts,
Easy to fool, using different arts.
Such was the fate of who I was,
And for this, that was the cause.
I remember how I used to be broken,
Then my heart was stolen.
It led me to my downfall,
But this time, she will fall.

I watch her as she passes,
I blink as time lapses,
And I see my revenge, so close,
Longing for a close.
I hold my hand out,
And I hear a shout,
But it matters not,
For, soon, we will all rot.
