"Let me go! Let me go! Let me go!" They heard from the shed. The sound broke Genie's heart.

"You gotta do something Gen, you're the only who can get to him." Lucas encouraged.

"Not true. Joyce can." She argued back.

"He loves you, Genie." Dustin said from his spot at the kitchen table.

Genie turned beet red, "Well, Yeah. He's like my brother."

The others knew she wasn't that oblivious.

"Do you hear him, he's in pain." Lucas said.

"The others have it handled!"

"Let me go! Let me go!" Echoed from outside.

"It sure doesn't sound like it." Max commented.

"Fine." Genie gave in, hearing the pure agony in Will's voice. That wasn't Will talking. That was a monster from the depths of hell and Genie planned to take it back where it belonged.

She closed her eyes and slid to the floor, drumming her fingers against the hardwood.

"Will" she thought.

"Genie?" Her name echoed around her head as if she was in a canyon.

"Is it you or that thing?" She sneered.

"It's me, I swear."

"What's my favourite colour?"

Silence.

"Red-"

"Wrong, it's purple. Let me talk to Will."

"Will isn't here right now."

"Yes he is, I'm not stupid."

"Get out of his head."

She blinked and rather than the blackness she normally saw when she used her powers, she was brought back to reality. Blood leaked from her nose and she wiped it on the back of her hand.

"He's not letting me in." She said grimly.

"What-not letting you-" Steve was cut off.

"Someone get a piece of paper." Hopper came bolting into the room.

Nancy grabbed a piece of paper from the shelf and handed it to Hopper, "Why?"

"I think he's talking but not with words." He explained as he scribbled on the paper.

Mike, Joyce and Jonathan came back in the house after Hopper.

"What is that?" Steve asked, examining the paper.

"Morse code." The others said in unison.
