I'll never forget the day I first met her. A girl with a flower in her eye. Her hair, the color of snow. Someone looking to atone for something. But I didn't see it that way. I saw her as victim to that Flower in her eye. This the story of how my life changed when I met her. And how she and I....Fell in love, and how I saved her life.
Murai's POV:
Today was just an ordinary day for me. I was just walking along the road to campus classrooms. Suddenly, I can hear a weird song, and my head starting to hurt. Next thing that happened was what looked like a portal or rift in space/time opened up. It started sucking me into it. I could feel my feet leave ground as it pulled me in. I felt it continue to pull me through almost as if I was being taken to someplace.
Murai: Ugh..... What... Where?
I open my eyes and noticed I was in a field of grass surrounded by some rocks. I got up and noticed I wasn't in a city anymore. I looked around and noticed that their weren't any buildings for miles around.
Murai: Where am I? What is this place?!
I could feel the breeze through the land. It felt more clean then compared to the city. Suddenly, hear something behind me. I turn around to see a huge creature with a club, ready to smash me.
Murai: Wha..?! What is that monster!?
As it's club came down, the impact pushed me back a little. The creature turned its head to face me and raised it's club again. I was trapped behind a rock.
Murai: ...No ....Stay away from me.....
As I closed my eyes waiting for the end. But then, something made an impact. I opened my eyes and found the monster dead, crushed. As I look up, could not believe what I was looking at. It looked like a dragon. It had beautiful purple scales and it's horns were colored It was feasting on it. But then...
Dragon: Bah... These pathetic monsters. They don't even have the intelligence to think.
It could speak. I was still surprised and in awe of such an amazing creature. Then, It turned it's head to look at me. It then moved it's head closer to me and I got scared. It sniffed me a couple of times and then spoke to me.
Dragon: Hmmm... You smell interesting, boy.
Murai: Huh?
Dragon: I don't sense any magic in you and yet your in the middle of this field about to be killed by an Ogre.
Murai: An Ogre? is that what that thing was?
Dragon: Yes. Not the brightest creatures but they know how to kill.
Murai: I can see that.
Dragon: Where did you come from, human?
Murai: I-I don't know. All I know is I was walking along, and then I get pulled by something, and then the next I know I'm in this field.
I explained to dragon everything. Even where I came from. From it's reaction it seemed like it knew I wasn't lying, but it also looked like it was curious about me.
Dragon: Interesting.
Murai: Ugh? You believe what I'm saying.
Dragon: As far as I can tell your honest, for a human. Here.
She lowered her shoulder wing. It looked like it wanted me to hope on it's back.
Murai: You want me to hop on your back?
Dragon: I can take you to a nearby village. It's not far.
I climbed on her back and got in a position were I was safe to hold on. The dragon began to moved it's wings up and was getting ready to take off.
Murai: Wait! Do you have a name?
Dragon: Yes. My name is Lailah. And your name?
Murai: It's Murai. Murai Tetsu.
Lailah: Well then Murai Tetsu, If this is your first time flying, then hang on tight!
With one flap of her wings, she took off and next thing I knew I was in the air. I could feel the rush of the air against my face. As Lailah leveled herself, The air felt better, then I could see the world from a dragons view. It was... incredible.
Lailah: So boy, do you enjoy flying?
Murai: It's amazing. I'm in awe.
Lailah: Well... I've never meet a human so amazed by flying.
We flew in a direction for a few hours. I noticed a small village below us. As we got closer, Lailah started to descend and slow down. she flapped her wings twice and then we landed. She lowered her shoulder so that I could get off.
Lailah: I will remain close by if you need anything.
Murai: Thank you, Lailah.
I then went into this small town. I noticed the structures to the peoples clothing was very old fashioned compared to what I usual wear. The villagers were very nice to me. They offered me some new clothes and a simple sword to defend myself. They even gave me a room to stay for the night. While I was here, I looked at some books they had. If this was a different world, I need to learn more. The more I read the more I didn't understand.
Murai: Intoners? Magic? Songs? ...What's going on in this world?!
After spending most of that afternoon trying to figure out stuff. I tried to get some sleep. As I slowly drifted, I began to dream.
