Chapter 20: The Cathedral City

Murai's POV:

We had just defeated Two. With four of her Sisters defeated, that left just one more to go. I could tell that probably out all of them, One was going to be the toughest to take down and maybe people's suffering can come to an end. And maybe... I can find a way to get home. But... what's in my thoughts that's making me not want to go back. 

We set up camp outside of the city and out of cite from the enemy. As it got darker I looked up at the sky and I could see the stars. They very different then from where I came from. Which means, I'm not in my world at all, but a completely different world. Lailah folded her wings and sat with me.

Lailah: Theirs just one Intoner left.

Murai: Yeah... It's done to one left.

Lailah: And yet, you don't feel like yourself, why?

Murai: I know what I did to get this far. I killed.... So that innocent people wouldn't have to suffer anymore. I've stained my hand with so much blood. If I go back home, will be the same?

Lailah brushed her wing talons over my head gentle.

Lailah: You did what you had to do in order to survive. Now, try and get some rest. One more thing.

Murai: Hm?

Lailah: It will feel alot different without you around.

Lailah then relaxed herself and went to sleep. I still couldn't sleep so I just tried to relax.

Zero's POV:

Everyone had went to sleep. Except for Murai. He was just sitting looking at the sky. Back in the desert that feeling I had in my chest was stronger then it ever was. I went over to check on him.

Zero: Can't sleep?

Murai: Hm? No, not really.

I then sat down next to him.

Zero: You scared?

Murai: To be honest, maybe. But I have to see this through.

Zero: So you can go home...?

Murai: Yeah...

Their it was again, that feeling. I felt it stronger then ever.

Murai: Hm? Hey, what's wrong Zero?

Zero: It's nothing.

Murai: Liar

As he leaned in I leaned back then I was completely with my back on the ground and with him looking over me. I started to blush from that feeling again. And so did he. Murai started looking down at my chest and then looked away. It was like he couldn't take his eyes off me. Just before he could step back I place my hands around his neck and make his face red a bit more. Their was this long silence between us. 

Zero:( Am I having feelings for this person?)

But then, he broke off and looked away.

Murai: I'm sorry... We should probably get some sleep.

Zero: ...Yeah...

After that he laid down and went to sleep. I couldn't move my body from that moment, so I fell asleep where I was.

Next morning: 

Murai's POV:

It was the next morning and I woke up. Once I sat up, I looked to my right and noticed a sleeping Zero. I tried to forget that embarrassing moment. This might be the last time I see her, if I go home. Without waking her, I kissed her on her cheek as final goodbye incase she doesn't see me again.
