Chapter 5: Regeneration

Murai's POV:

After killing Five, Zero and I took her disciple, Dito with us. We then flew to "The Land of Mountains" where we rested surveyed the area to find the next Intoner, Four. While mostly everyone was asleep, I kept watch.

Lailah: You really should get some sleep. You look tired.

Murai: I'm not sleepy.

Lailah then moved her wing over me.

Lailah: Rest for now. You need to keep your strength up.

After she said that, I felt a little tired and drifted to sleep.

Next Morning:

It was early the next morning. I saw that everyone was still asleep. I went to check on Zero. She was still asleep but struggling.

Zero's POV:

Dream

Michael: Fear not Zero. For you are not alone in this. Your dragon's protection must be a welcome thing indeed. And that boy, I sense a great and desire to help you. You should thank them.

Zero: I'm dreaming again? ....Not every dragon or everyone is like you Michael. Unfortunately.

When I woke up, I got up quick and noticed Murai.

Murai's POV:

Zero: *Gasp*

Murai: Take it easy. You just woke from a dream. 

Zero: Tsk...

She got up and grabbed her sword.

Murai: Zero... Who is Michael? Five mentioned he was a dragon?

Zero: ........

Murai: Look! If you don't trust me, I understand. But, If I'm gonna keep going to find the truth, I need you to trust me. I told you my truth, why can't you tell me your's?

Zero: .......*Exhales* Micheal... he was my former dragon. I was looking for a dragon, and found him. He promised he would fight along side me, and help put an end to the Intoners. And we tried... We tried to take them on. But in the end... we weren't able to beat all of them at once.

Murai: .....What happened to him?

Zero: .....He succumbed to his wounds, and was reincarnated into Mikhail.

Murai: ........I'm sorry. .....That's why your doing this... It's revenge for Micheal.

I noticed her tightened her grip in her sword and also clenching her prosthetic arm. 

Zero: ............................... It can't end until thier dead.

Murai: Zero...

She then looks at me.

Murai: Your hand is bleeding. Let me look at it.

She tried to tug her arm away.

Zero: It's fine.

Murai: Let me look at it!

I grabbed her hand and noticed the bleeding stopped and marks were healing. I looked surprised.

Murai: H-How?

Zero: It's... complicated. 

I let go of her hand. She still stared at me. She looked very beautiful in the morning. 

Zero: What is it?

Murai: I-It's nothing. We should get going.

I then checked on Lailah.
