"And he even told me that I could keep it." I speak into the phone with Cece on the other line. She squeals having me pull my phone away.

"No he didn't!" She gasps and squeals again. Geez, I might just have to get my ears checked.

"Yep. And then I saw his tattoos. That boy can rail me. I mean not rail me uh--"

"Nah nah, you said you wanted him to fuck you." She interrupts me. Why oh why did I have to say that? Ugh I hate myself.

"Language! And I don't even mean it anyway." I reply with a huff. I have the house all to myself tonight since my mom told me she was working late. I made extra dinner for her just in case she gets back earlier than expected. "So are we going to this pool party on Saturday?" I ask her.

"Yeah, oooh. We should go bathing suit shopping!" She yells into the phone.

"Bathing suit shopping? Really? I might not even swim."

"Why not?"

"Because I just don't like showing other random people my body parts. It makes me feel uncomfortable." I reply my voice quieting.

"You'll be fine. And if anyone dares to say a single bad thing about your body, they're gonna get it." She says and I can already imagine the fist she's making with her hand.

"Sure. I'll think about it." I say with a laugh.

"Okay! I gotta go eat dinner. See you tomorrow bye." With that, she hangs up. I sigh and plop myself on my bed facing the ceiling.

Do I have to go? I mean technically I don't have to. I can just make up a lame excuse saying I became sick or something. But it's not like Cece would believe me. I guess I just have to suck it up and go. What could go wrong?

"Hey bestie." Cece nudges my shoulder as she comes to a stop by my locker. It's Thursday, one more day to go before the big pool party. And the weekend which I'm so excited for. "We're going shopping tomorrow right? I don't have time today. I gotta babysit my annoying little sister ugh."

Good thing I'm an only child. "Yeah, tomorrow sounds good." I reply with a shrug.

"Great. See you after school." She air kisses me and walks off to elective class. Well now I have no one to talk to. I guess I'll just be a loner, forever. Just kidding. I grab my book out and begin to read as I make my way to my last elective class.

I'm just getting into the good part when I bump into a wall. Wait a minute. There wasn't normally a wall in front of the door leading into the classroom. I rub my temple and look up. Why is he everywhere?

Alec stands tall crossing his muscled arms across his chest and glares down at me. "Excuse you." I say closing my book.

"Excuse me?" Yes mister handsome, you were in my way.

"Yes, you were in my way." I reply with an eye roll.

"Sunshine, last time I checked you were the one walking while reading." A smirk forms onto his gorgeous face.

"It's not like you don't read." Ha! Take that you handsome God.

"I don't." he says rolling his eyes now.

"......Okay...... I'll see you at the library." I say happily and enter the classroom. Oh yeah, bet he didn't expect that now did he?

We both enter the classroom and I take a seat at my usual desk. And Alec so happens to copy me. Copycat. "Why are you sitting here?" I ask facing him. That's a question I've been wondering every since yesterday, when he sat here.

"Why not?" He answers with a shrug.

"Why?"

"Why not?"

"Why?"

"Why not?"

"Why-- okay you know what? I'm not doing this. I'll move." I say and begin to stand up. I look around and see that every desk is filled. What the what? Didn't yesterday there was like 4 seats open? How in the heck did they just magically fill up with students? "Nevermind." I mumble. I can hear his low chuckle which causes something in my lower region.

Nope. Not gonna get the butterflies for him. Is that what it is? Butterflies? Oh no. Not gonna happen. Just ignore him Briar.

I take a deep breath and continue my painting from yesterday. My swan is coming along great. I pick up my paint brush and do the most hardest thing on this painting that requires a lot of focus. The flipping fur. I have to do it very swiftly and calmly. Don't want a hair out of place or else your swan will look like it has lint on it.

I dip my small pointed brush in white paint and begin my first stroke. Okay, so far so good. Now about 1,000 times more and then I'm finished.

Just as I start my second fur, the table starts to shake. No! My perfect white fur. Now my swan has lint. I slam my brush down and face Alec and give him the most glariest glare I can muster up. "Can you not please?"

"I'm not doing anything." He says with a smirk.

"You are bouncing your leg." I say pointing to his leg bouncing up and down, occasionally hitting the bottom of the desk.

"And what about it?" He says as he sets his brush down and faces me. His face resting on his hand.

"You made me mess up. I was doing perfectly fine until you bounced your flipping leg." I say almost yelling. His smirk widens. Is he.....enjoying this? Well fudge him!

"Relax, You can fix it up with your perfect little hands right?"

"What? I mean yeah but I-- whatever." I mumble. Did he just say I have perfect hands? Thank you?

I give him one more glare before turning back to my now ruined painting. My poor swan. I can still feel his gaze on me. Then I remembered, he's doing a painting of me. I turn back around and stare at him. "Yes?" He answers not looking at me. He's so focused on the painting.

"Why did you draw me?" I ask after a moment of silence.

"Why not?" He answers again.

"Can you like answer seriously?" I say growing annoyed. He sighs and places his brush down and faces me again. Say something don't just stare at me.

"Why not?" He repeats, a smirk forming on his gorgeous face once again. I can't with him.

"Ugh. Oh my fudging gosh okay. You know what? Do your thing, good luck finishing your painting if you can't even see my face." Take that you hot male creature.

He chuckles lowly, sending butterflies to my core. What's up with the butterflies nowadays? Stop fluttering!

He shakes his head and goes back to painting.
