Chapter 20 : Sparks

The drive from the VR cafe to the hospital doesn't take too long since Yeonjun didn't even stop at the red lights and sprint all the way just to see his brother. Although he can't see the road clearly but he keeps on driving with a heavy heart while Taehyun is panicking for his life and Soobin stayed quiet all the time. As they arrived at the hospital, it was raining and Taehyun exited the car before sprinting his way to the room where Beomgyu was in. He enters ward number 522 and there, he saw Hyunhee was on her knees crying her eyes out and Beomgyu's parents calling their son's name again anad again, and what hurt Taehyun's heart more is the way his father looks at him with disappointment. Dr.Hoseok and Dr.Sakura were there too. They looked so sad and sympathy are filling inside them.

"Beomgyu.."

He calls, he steps closer and closer. His eyes fell on the flawless porcelain skin male laying on the bed with his eyes closed and his chest didn't even move, there, Taehyun's world had turned pitch black. His lips quivering and his hands shaking. Beomgyu had completely turned into a doll.

"Hyung.."

He calls. His slim fingers go through Beomgyu's black strands as his other hand is caressing Beomgyu's cheek gently. The older's skin feels cold.

"Hyung.."

This is the third time he calls for Beomgyu. Hyunhee froze. Beomgyu's parents turn their heads away from the hurtful sight, then they exited the room along with the two doctors, leaving Taehyun alone. But not Hyunhee tho. The effort that she gave to Beomgyu just to make him stay alive keeps playing inside her head.

"Beomgyu-ah"

Beomgyu looks at her, his face stayed emotionless.

"Let's play a game"

Beomgyu nods.

"Truth or dare, okay?"

Again, the younger didn't say anything and nods.

"You choose first"

"Truth"

Hyunhee smiled.

"What are the things that Taehyun did that made you felt like you're the most precious person ever exist?"

She asked with a smirk. A small smile appeared on Beomgyu's lips. And Hyunhee's sparks of hope kept building up inside her.

"Every little things he does, like calling me pet names, giving me cuddles, cute little kisses, his good mornings.."

Hyunhee nodded. She was about to say something but Beomgyu cut her off.

"I want to do everything with him if O have the chance too, and yet I have to ruined it by staying inside this ward doing nothing"

Beomgyu said. Although he didn't show any emotions on his face, but tears are visibly falling on his cheeks. Hyunhee bit her lips.

"It's not your fault, not Taehyun's nor anyone's fault. God has His own plans, let's just trust Him with the outcome hm?"

Beomgyu nodded.

"Nuna"

"Yes?"

The next thing that Beomgyu said made Hyunhee's smile dropped immediately.

"Do you think I can be normal again and be with Taehyun forever?"

Hyunhee is wailing like a child thinking how hurtful Beomgyu's question was. Taehyun sobs silently while holding Beomgyu's hand tightly. Yeonjun and Soobin had just arrived and are catching their breaths. Yeonjun immediately enters the room with tears flowing down his cheeks.

"Gyu.. Gyu!! Wake up, Gyu!! Please!!"

He slaps Beomgyu's arm hardly but the younger didn't even react or flinch. Everything happened in slow motion, as Soobin saw Beomgyu's state, he fell on his knees. Hands shivering and breath shaky. He couldn't belive it. He didn't want to belive this either. Taehyun shut his eyes close and smiles in pain.

"Hyung... why do you have to leave me?"

Yes, his nightmare had come true. He lost two most precious people in his life. Beomgyu was like the sparks in his life. Beomgyu was an angel. He is everything to Taehyun. Taehyun would do anything just to be with his Beomgyu. The effort Taehyun did just to take care of Beomgyu and make sure he's still alive was all useless. Beomgyu is now gone. Forever.

"What should I do now? Now that you're gone"

Yeonjun bit his lips. He flops to the ground. It's very rare of Yeonjun to show his vunerable side to anyone, but in the situation he's in, he didn't even care what other people would think about him. He cries his heart out as his head is replaying all the memories of him with Beomgyu since childhood.

"When I grow up, I want to be like you, hyung"

"Goodnight, hyung"

"Don't eat too much candy, mom will scold you"

"When I'm reborn again, I want to be your little brother again, Yeonjun hyung"

"Because I love my annoying stupid hyung"

Soobin runs to his husband side and hugs Yeonjun in his arms.

"Calm down, hyung"

Soobin said although he, himself is crying. Just then, Dr.Sakura comes in.

"Taehyun-ssi, we need to get Beomgyu's body now"

She said with a soft smile. But Taehyun didn't move.

"Why? Why? After all the efforts I did just to take care of you, to make all my mistakes up, to be someone that is useful to you. Why? Why must it be you?"

Taehyun muttered. He started getting hiccups as well as his voice is cracking than it already was.

"Dear God, don't you think this is unfair? What did I ever do wrong? Why must you take all the people that I love away from me? Why? I've loved Beomgyu hyung since I met him, I love him. I love him so much that I could take a bullet from him. I'll be the one who'll protect him forever, but now.. Everything just fly away from me turning into useless dusts. My love remains the same to you, my love"

Taehyun said. He kisses Beomgyu's cold forehead.

"When you were to be born again, I would wait for you. It doesn't matter if I have to wait for thousand of years for you to be reborn again, but I'll wait for you. Always know that I'll look out the world for you, I'll stop eating seafood for you, I'll stop eating tomatoes for you, I'll go into a haunted house with you, I would eat spicy food for you, I would ride a rollercoaster with you, I would do anything, ANYTHING! Just to be with you again"

No answer. Sakura shakes Taehyun's shoulder softly signalling him to let go of Beomgyu. Taehyun stayed quiet. He leans his forehead against Beomgyu's. Only the sound of the rain could be heard from the outside.

"Taehyun-ssi? I need toㅡ"

"Give me five more minutes, please"

Taehyun begged. Sakura sighs then nods.

"I love you, Beomgyu hyung. I really really love you, Choi Beomgyu. Seeing you like this, broke my heart. I wish this didn't happen. I wish everything would be back to normal again but, a wish still remains as a wish. Thank you, for the VR you've made. I don't know when did you planned that with Yeonjun hyung and Soobin hyung but, seeing you inside the game made me misses you more. I really love you, please. Just come back to me, please. Please, I beg you. Come back. I need you"

Now, no more Beomgyu in his life. He'll miss the older's touches. He'll miss the older's nagging. He'll miss the older's bear hug. He'll miss everything about CHOI BEOMGYU. A boy who once light up his whole world is now gone.

"I'll be your husband, even in the afterlife, Choi Beomgyu"

He was about to leave the room when someone grabs his wrist.

"I love you too, pabo yah"
