You were waiting impatiently at 12 Grimmauld Place. You still thought that it was a bad idea, Sirius going out as Padfoot to meet Harry at station 9 and 3/4, but Sirius insisted, saying that everything would be fine.

Not if the world is after you, you thought to yourself when he said that.

When the door finally opened, you basically flew out of the couch, but you weren't even first to get the door. Moody was first and questioned them before letting them in. Sirius walked in as Padfoot, but then quickly turned back into his human-self.

"Told you everything would be fine," Sirius smirked when your eyes meet each other.

"As if you could tell me that if everything had gone wrong," You crossed your arms. Didn't matter how worried you were, if he was going to act like that then you wouldn't be loving back.

That's when his face softens and he walked up to you to take your hands in his. You pretended to fight back but eventually gave in and relax your arms from their crossed position. His touch sent sparks through your skin, as they'd done back in Hogwarts.

His thumbs brushed over the back of your hand when he suddenly stopped and let go of the right hand, only to kiss the left one. Your rings were still on your finger, the engagement ring and the wedding ring.

"Twelve years," Sirius muttered as he looked down on the rings. "Twelve years and you still have these."

"I was a fool," You said.

You'd already had this conversation. The second you saw him again after twelve years you broke down in tears. You had begged for his forgiveness, begged him to forgive you for letting him down.

When he first was captured, you didn't believe what they were telling you. You didn't believe that he was guilty. You stormed into Dumbledore's office and told him exactly that, but Dumbledore was convinced. He told you that there was no other possibility and that you were blinded by your love for the Black boy.

After a while, you started to believe him. You lost hope and started to believe Dumbledore. Not a day has gone by where you haven't regretted that decision.

"You couldn't know," Sirius placed his hand on your cheek and you allowed yourself to lean into his palm. "No one knew. I should have told you about the switch."

You signed and just enjoyed the warmth from his hand when he suddenly pulled you into a hug. Automatically you were surrounded by the scent of smoke, cologne and forest. You breathed in deeply and wished that you could save the scent forever.

"Come on love," Sirius muttered in your hair. "Let's join the others."

You were going through some plans with the order when Harry and his friends stepped in. You saw how quickly Sirius' face lit up and couldn't help but smile when they hugged each other tightly.

"Good to see you, Harry," You greeted the young boy.

He replied back before joining the rest of his friends in the kitchen. Remus started collecting all of your work, it was enough planning for today. Sirius' mood had automatically improved once Harry got here. He joked around more, smiled more and had too incredibly much energy for a man that spent 12 years of his life in Azkaban.

He treated him like a son, you realised. Just like James wanted Sirius to. Sirius had already missed so much of Harry's life, but it seemed like Sirius was trying to make up for it.

After a while of socialising with others, you went upstairs to your room to get some peace. It was actually Sirius' room, but you shared it so you basically just thought about it as your own.

You just sat on the bed and enjoyed the silence. Well, you could still hear the murmurs from downstairs but it was better than nothing. You didn't get to be alone for long, soon the door opened and you could figure out who it was by only listening to his footsteps.

"Are you okay?" Sirius voice always had this warmth that made your entire body shiver.

You could feel the bed sink a little further when he sat down beside you. You leaned your head against his shoulder and just smiled for yourself.

"Tired today?" Sirius asked as he pulled you in closer.

"Exhausted," You responded tiredly.

He wrapped his arms around you and once again you were surrounded by the wonderful smell of Sirius Black.

"Being exhausted is worse than being tired," Sirius muttered. "What's troubling you, my love?"

"Nothing," You sighed and closed your eyes.

You felt his soft lips against your forehead. Then his hand moved up to your chin, turning your head so that your eyes meet.

"Something is troubling you," His intense stormy eyes had you hypnotised. "Tell me what's on your mind."

You could not reply immediately, you just took your time to study every single detail on his face.

"I just want this to last forever," You whispered. "I'm scared that I might lose everything again. "

"You won't," He assured. "Not this time, not ever again."

"You can't promise me that," You placed your hand on his cheek and smiled, glad that he tried. "We are in another war, and every day is another day to die."

"Or another day to live," Sirius responded. "Don't let these things trouble you, my love. We'll live through everything, start a family and I'll be able to teach my son or daughter quidditch while you complain about the dangers."

You couldn't help but laugh when you thought about the scenario.

"Do you believe me?" Sirius asked. "Do you trust me?"

Instead of replying, you kissed him. You could feel him smiling and you couldn't help but smile yourself.

This time, you decided to trust him.

You know, sometimes you have these one-shots that you're actually proud of (at the moment. Re-reading them always makes you doubt your life choices).

This was definitely not one of them.

I'm sorry for the disappointing request delivery but I felt like I've left you all hanging for too long.

I'm currently working on some requests, mostly second or third parts of a one-shot but I've also gotten some Lily and Regulus request that I'll take care of.

Otherwise, have a nice day/night and remember, we all have some guiding stars. Just like Remus had his Marauders. Sad over Fred Weasley's death but happy over the marauder-reunion. At least Fred got to meet his idols...
