Hey all! This is the first time I've updated in a while isn't it? I've missed writing, but I just haven't had the time between school and volleyball and mental health crap. I really appreciate all the positive comments I've been getting. Honestly they keep me going, every time I'm feeling especially down, I look back on those comments. So thank you all for being patient and here's the next chapter! As always ask questions and point out any errors so I can fix them!
3rd POV
Date Tech had first serve. It was given right to
Aihara, who received it really badly, but still got it up. Manami hustled it down and got up to Michimiya, who pushed it to the far side of the court.
#3 made an impressive flying receive to keep it in play, but it wasn't high enough. No one was able to get to it.
Michimiya pumped her fist and cheered, prompting the rest of the team to do so. A little tension was relieved during that point, enabling everyone to play a little more freely.
The entire audience watched intently at the next play. Michimiya served to the setter, getting Date Tech out of system, so they were forced to hit it cross court, straight to (Y/N), who dug it perfectly.
Manami gave it to Aihara, who went up to hit it. It was a really good set, a really good approach and-
Stuffed.
(Y/N) couldn't even react, it was so fast. Just stuffed.
"It's alright," Michimiya said to her and Aihara,"We'll get the next one."
(Y/N) nodded and turned to Sudou.
"Hey, I want you covering her too, just in case I can't get there." Then she turned to Kicuchi, in the middle back. "I want you as deep as you can get in case it comes back farther than I can go."

This next serve was a little easier to receive, or (Y/N) just made it look easy. A good set to Kikuchi, blocked again.
Again.
Again.
A tip got through to score.
2-4
(Y/N) was up to serve, having switched with Sudou, Sasaki now in the front row. The ref blew the whistle, and she looked to Michimiya who held up a one behind her back.
"Okay," she whispered. She served in the seam of the one and six zones. They collided with one another but got it up. It was too tight to the net, and Sasaki was able to jump and kill it.
"Yeah!"
Again (Y/N) served, this time resulting in a shanked pass.
She served a third time, but Date Tech was able to convert it.
To Kikuchi in middle back who got it up, Manami to Sasaki in a C slide play- blocked.
Blocked, blocked, blocked.

Michimiya called a time out.
"How the hell are we supposed to get around that block?" Sasaki asked, frustrated as the manager tossed her a water bottle.
"How did the boys adjust to it when they were getting blocked?" replied Watabe. "Maybe we can learn from them."
"They had Hinata's quick attack and Nishinoya's insane reflexes," Sudou whined.
"Maybe we should try utilizing our middle attacks more, their outside blocker is a little late, and we could just tip it over. They don't guard the middle,"Aihara said, rubbing her chin and wiping sweat off her brow.
