Karasuno's POV 3rd Person
Kageyama set the ball perfectly into Hinata's palm into the right side. Everyone was waiting for the girls' reaction to the attack, so nobody saw the little girl on the other side of the net, waiting.
Everyone gaped at her as the ball was completely stopped and fell to the ground. Not even Nishinoya dove to retrieve it. They were too captivated by the only one to ever stop their special quick attack on the first try.
Ukai and Takeda were absolutely speechless.
Hinata widened his eyes in fear at her. She smiled, not evilly, but almost surprised that she actually pulled it off. She turned to the rest of her teammates, but then she stopped smiling.
She actually looked close to tears if you asked Daichi. She shook out her hand.
"HEY HOW DID YOU DO THAT??" Hinata screamed at her. She looked back at him, confused.
"I just followed you. I've heard about the attack, and I knew that the set would be too fast to read block, so I just followed you."
"BUT HOW DID YOU KNOW IT WAS GOING TO BE ME?"
"I ran through the possibilities. Of course, you boys love to see the reaction of the girls when you pull off an amazing move like that, also the guy who I assume is your ace is in the back row."
She pointed to Asahi, who still had his mouth open in shock.
Kageyama pulled Hinata aside.
"Hey, I'm willing to bet that was a fluke. I'm not going to set you next time, but I need you on full alert."
Hinata nodded.
Fukurodani served again, and Karasuno didn't set to Hinata this time, except Tanaka, who barreled through the girl's block like it was nothing.
"How do you girls like me now?" he asked, hands on his hips with a confident smile. However the smile vanished when they didn't give him even one glance.
"Stop it Tanaka," Daichi scolded. "You're just embarrassing yourself. Just go serve."
He obeyed, his confidence a bit shattered.
He served.
The girls returned it with accuracy and precision. Noya received it, and Hinata ran to the left side, where the other girl wasn't playing.
They were sure that it would land this time.
"Nope." Came a voice from the other side of the net.
Stuffed.
Again.
Ukai had had enough.
"TIME OUT! TIME OUT!" He held a t in the air.
"Please," Takeda squeaked.
