Helix In! I'm back and this time, this is something special, we're not getting there yet, but we will, one step at a time, and with that said, let's get to it.
(3rd POV)
In the desert of Vacuo, one might easily assume it to be lifeless except for a series of separated villages and settlements that dot Vacuo's realm as well as swarms of Grimm that consistently patrolled the desert as if they are eternal guardians of the sand.
And under the blistering sun of the desert, there was a great compound, containing small settlements inside the walls that repelled the desert air.
Inside the base showed several humans, armed with weapons or whips as several Faunus and were working around the various industries as they seemed to not be enjoying their work as some of them had chains on their ankles and were kept under the watch of the men with whips.
"Come on, you downtrodden fiends! We have work to do!" A human shouted to the Faunus as he cracked his whip at them as he saw them shrink away in fear as he watched with a stoic look in his eyes.
The Faunus continued to do their work, lest one of them gets shot in the foot or forced to be whipped or worse, starved out for days if they don't comply!
They continued their work as a human watcher left the building and walked around the settlement as the watcher saw various buildings, safe behind the wall.
The buildings were constructed out of wood, stone, and metal as each building had a solid structure, keeping them firm, making it one of the few settlements outside of the capital that are not nomadic in nature.
Water is often a valuable commodity, especially in this land as it's often bought if any of them are going out to the cities to buy some supplies for their city as one doesn't exactly expect much water here.
Eventually, the man moved into a small complex, enough for the Morley Family to reside in.
He knocked on the metal door of the complex as a pair of eyes were seen behind the door.
"I need to see the boss." He said as the door guard closed the shutter as the sounds of various locks becoming loose were heard as the reinforced door opened up as the man walked inside.
Inside of the complex were various vehicles, weaponry, as well as workers, both Human and Faunus working inside, and as the man walked through the place, he finally came across a room as he knocked on it.
Then, came a man who wore a suit worthy to that of a facility director: A room that had a had a decent fireplace, a desk with some nice stuff.
"Yes, what do you need?" The man asked.
"Lord Morley, we may have a problem." The soldier said to his Lord.
"Is it about that new PMC?" Lord Morley asks as the man nodded.
Lord Morley scoffed at this as he sat down on a chair.
"Do not worry about them, they're more focused on protecting the government and people of Vacuo to deal with the likes of us." The Lord said as he stoked the fires a bit with a poker.
"If I may be so blunt, milord, they might be a threat to both our trades and to our existence." The soldier said as the lord nodded as he sat on his chair.
"Hmm, yes, I've heard that they've dismantled the White Fang's operations and generally have made Vacuo a little safer, not quite good for business, but it did help at some bits." The Lord said as he looked at his map, taking note of the newcomers.
