Helix In! So like I said in the previous chapter, this chapter will be taking place in Vale as the recon team arrived. And now, let's get to it!
(Jaune's POV)
(A few hours after departure)
It has been a good while since we've left the base and the ride has been mostly quiet in here, with the quiet humming of the ship.
I looked around and I saw the recon team that I was with was either reading their mission briefing off their phones or were doing a weapons check and checking their armor.
I meanwhile was stuck in my thoughts, especially on The Arc Family, my family.
I was lost in thought on how they would react if they saw me, especially my mother.
'Looks like I'll be seeing them soon, one way or another.' I thought to myself as I looked at Sabrina, who was looking at her phone, knowing her, she's using it to read up a story as she set down her equipment.
She looked up to me as she noticed my expression.
"Watchmaster, what's wrong?" she asked me, doing our professional side as I nodded.
"Of course, I'm fine." I said to her, faking a smile, kinda like the one I did when I was blackmailed by HIM.
I mentally let out a sigh as I still frustrated with myself and to Cardin for ruining the sliver I had to being a Huntsmen!
And as I did, I felt my eyes burning up, indicating my anger is rising as Sabrina noticed it and shook my body a bit as I recollected myself from my pent-up anger.
I then looked at Sabrina as she looked at me with a concerned look, but a bit diluted to avoid suspicion.
I also noticed that others were looking at me as I shrugged them off as I proceeded to look over the mission file sent from Fegelein.
The mission file seemed to contain the objectives of scanning and scouting the area and of course, blend in. Blend in with Humans.
'Is this what the Faunus felt when they had to infiltrate humans or something?' I thought to myself as I continued looking through the file.
In the middle of the file, was a picture of Beacon Academy, my old school........
'They want us to infiltrate it don't they?' I thought to myself as I pieced the puzzle together.
'It's a sound strategy for sure since the Vytal Festival is in it's initial phase. But why did it have to be there.' I thought again as I knew both pros and cons of this strategy.
"Guys, we might have be taking a long while and we could be wasting time for the operation. Does anyone here know any Teleportation Magic?" The pilot asked us as everyone on the ship glanced to one another, and eventually had their eyes glued to the Knight-Sorcerer, this one was affiliated with the Burning Phoenix Order.
The Sorcerer or Sorceress let out a sigh as she raised her voice.
"Here!" She said to the pilot as the pilot somewhat nodded fro my perspective.
"Alright, I'll let you know when it's needed." The pilot said as the sorceress nodded as her peers looked at her with concerned looks.
(Timeskip brought to you by an hour brought to by Chibi Pyrrha throwing her shield to Chibi Jaune as he parried it with a pistol as the shield bounced off and hit the screen.)
After an hour, I managed to finish up on reading the mission file as I placed my phone back into my pocket as I glanced onto Eques as I made a small prayer as the blade continued to shine it's golden light as I said a prayer to my blade.
