RWBY: Jaune Arc, The Guardian

Chapter 34- Decision

Helix In! Welcome back, and now, we get into this chapter, and now, let's get into it!
Disclaimer: I know I know, it's been far too long, I'm so sorry about that, I've been so focused on my multiverse story, ok, I should be able to do some nice ground this chapter, especially with Jaune. 

In the sands of Vacuo, the military outpost of the Caldarisians was seen as a helicopter was seen flying overhead, surveying the outpost's proximity, lest any sort of intruder or attacker raid the base for all it's worth. 

The camera then cuts to the base as Jaune was now seen lying on his bed, clutching onto a picture holding both him and Master Erwin, standing over a dead Beast as his mind began to wonder about it. 

 'It's been about a month or so ever since we let my old team go. I can only hope that they don't do anything rash, or I'm on thin ice!' Jaune thought to himself as he pocketed the picture and began performing push-ups. 

"Ok, keep it cool," Jaune said to himself as he counted in his head as his thoughts were filled with worries for the future of it all. 

'What if they spill the beans about what had happened? What if they contact the Atlesians and commence a siege on our base? Everything we've built here in Vacuo would fall apart! What would happen to us!?' Such were the more recent thought that Jaune had in his mind as he grunted in frustration. 
"Damn it, Jaune! Go to your happy place!" He said to himself as he tried to do so. 

'Ah yes, cleaning Vindicativa, shopping for those comics, and even kissing Sam! Ah, the life.' He happily thought to himself as he remembered more happy moments as he continued his exercise. 

And soon enough, his thoughts became more nostalgic. Memories of him and his sisters having fun and all that. His team enjoying their rather short time with another, and him living on the World of Caldaris. 

And as he enveloped himself in his nostalgia and memories, he heard a beep. 

"Huh?" He asked as he promptly fell to the floor. 

'Oww' He thought to himself as he rolled until his back.  
"Who is it?" Jaune asked as he looked at whoever opened the door. 

And his eyes laid upon Sabrina wearing the undersuit of her armor as some parts accentuated her beauty. 

"Hey, John." Sabrina greeted him as she closed the door behind her and sat on Jaune's bed.

"Sam? What are you doing here?" Jaune asked as he slowly articulated himself as he sat on the floor.

 Sabrina didn't say anything as she looked around a bit before turning to her mentor/lover. 

"Eh, I just wanted to see my cute master, is that so wrong?" Sabrina asked with a coy tone to her voice as Jaune sighed. 

"I mean when we're in public, it might attract unwanted attention there," Jaune replied as Sam shrugged. 

"We're not in public eyes no?" Sabrina asks as Jaune nods. 

"Therefore we shouldn't have anything to worry about!"  Sabrina exclaimed as she raised her arms in the air. 

"At this moment, you don't need to be a stickler on our rules alright?" Sabrina said to Jaune as he nodded and went back to his push-ups. 

"Really? Not gonna give me an answer?" Sabrina asked as she sat on his back as Jaune felt her body weight on his as he slowly did a push-up. 

"S-Sam! What are you doing!?" He asked as he let out a puff of air before doing another push-up. 

"Waiting for your answer! Plus, I wanted to help you out!" Sabrina countered. 

"By sitting on my spine?" He asked as she nodded. 

"More obstacles for you to overcome!" She replied as she repositioned her legs as Jaune continued to do his push-ups while his girlfriend stayed where she was, on his back. 

"And besides, if you wanted to get me off, you could've just thrown me off to the sides, and yet, you didn't," Sabrina said as she whispered into Jaune's ear as he felt her body pressed up to his back as he continued his push-ups. 

"Sam! Quit weighing on me!" Jaune complained, 

"So you're saying I'm fat?" Sabrina teased as Jaune stopped what he was doing and looked at her. 

"No, I'm not!" He countered as the two looked at each other in the eyes. 

"And besides, we could get the wrong look if someone somehow eavesdrops on us!" Jaune rants a bit as Sabrina lets him tire himself out. 

(A short timeskip brought to you by Chibi Helix slowly peeking out of a door. )

"You done?" Sabrina asked as Jaune nodded. 

"Good, because I've been meaning to ask you this..." Sabrina said as she paused. 

"Are you gonna go to that old school of yours?" She asked as Jaune sighed, figuring that this had to come up. 

"That thought crossed my mind, but I wasn't sure, besides, I don't know if Schwert or Erwin will allow me to do so," Jaune said, concerned about what they would say to him about his request. 

And as these thoughts came into his mind, he felt a little peck on his cheeks, his eyes opened up to see Sabrina being the culprit. 

"Whatever you choose, I got your back, I've been with you for a long while, why stop now." She said with a chirp to her tone as it helped Jaune improve his mood. 

"Thanks, Sam," Jaune said to her as she hummed at that. 

"My pleasure." She replied. 

"Now, I believe that more exercise is needed!" Sabrina said as Jaune sighed and continues with his exercises.

After a while, Jaune was seen going to the General's office, contemplating his choice as he knocked and entered the door. 

"Knight-Sergeant, what can I do for you?" Schwert asks. 

"Sir, if you would allow me, I would like to go to Vale, Beacon Academy," Jaune said as Schwert was surprised.

I know, I know, I'm extensively late, but thankfully, I have enough time to do this chapter, I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend this because of my life and other stories kinda getting the way.
