Helix In! I'm back, now since we're back on the present, like back on Remnant with Jaune and the Caldarisians! And now, let's get on with it!
(3rd POV)
(Two weeks after establishing a foothold on Remnant)
As Jaune opened his eyes, he felt himself back in the present, finished with reminiscing on that time defeated a Storm Beast, one of the reasons he was deemed worthy for Eques Vindicativa.
He stood up from his kneeling position as the base they stand on is almost complete as some manned the defenses of the stronghold.
Jaune then found Erwin as he was looking at something.
"Hey Erwin!" I said, startling him as he nearly dropped what seemed to be a pocket-watch, an old trinket, and I noticed the same armor he wear whenever he went into hunts or battles, it took him a few days, but he managed to get it and wore it with a proud smirk on his face.
"Don't scare me like that, Jonathan! I could've hit you in the face!" Erwin complained, giving a bit of a threat while clutching the pocket watch.
"But you didn't!" I retorted.
"Clearly...." Erwin replied.
"Mind if I take a look?" I asked as he showed his pocket watch as I took a good look at it.
I looked at the brass pocket watch as it showed the time and what drew me in was the picture.
The picture showed a man and a woman, both Vampires smiling happily. The man who seems to be Erwin wore a grey suit and red tie, a silver pendant bearing the symbol of the Blades and a black top hat, on his blazer was the chain to the pocket watch, hiding in jacket's breast pocket. He had a silver ring on his left hand.
And for the woman, she had blue eyes like mine, brown hair, a happy expression on her face. She wore a beautiful white dress that could make some men turn heads to her, she also wore a small top hat, and another wedding ring on her right hand
Overall, a picture taken during their wedding ceremony as Jaune remembered it as he shed some manly tears, he did so until he finished some cake, and it made him wonder, whether he'll get the chance to have such a moment like that.
"The Wedding, eh? Nice!" Jaune complemented him.
"Thank you, so how's training Sabrina doing? Was it hard?" Erwin asked him as he put away his watch back into a pocket as he turned to Jaune.
"It's gone well, she's already learned the ropes, but I worry about her sometimes, you know." Jaune said as he remembered training Sabrina as she handled herself and her weapons while were sloppy, Jaune figured he can work with this, since he was on the same boat as her when he started out as a Huntsman.
"She can handle herself, you've trained as I did with you, Jonathan. I have confidence in her as a Knightess!" Erwin said to me as I nodded.
It has been a long time ever since Jaune found Sabrina all those years ago, around his early 30s when he found her, all banged up.
As Jaune finished, he felt some pride and confidence in himself for the new life he has made.
"Speaking of which, What happened to the outing you had with your friends?" Jaune asked, curious of whta happened before the Gates activated.
"We just went out for some coffee and as we were about to head out, then I received the message from the Order, and knew it was something bad, so I had to put my outing on a raincheck and grabbed the nearest taxi to get there." Erwin said as he explained himself.
