Chapter 8: Travelling forward

Theodore was once an ordinary person on Earth. He lives an ordinary and boring life. He was just an ordinary guy who happens to be an avid Type-Moon enthusiast. He spent his time playing FGO and always suffering in the thing that was called Gacha Hell.

But one day, his ordinary suffering ended when he found himself in another world. In the Nasuverse where he was transported into the body of his Parallel Self. Theodorus Solonea– someone from one of the prominent Magus bloodlines of the clock tower. What's more, he found out that he was in the FGO timeline and he was a failure master candidate who became one of the Chaldea staff because of family influence.

Theodore found a letter explaining his circumstances. Zelretch Schweinorg was responsible for his mess. In the end, he decided that since he was there, he would assist the Chaldea and prevent the destruction of the world. Surprisingly there were two Fujimaru and an unusual servant in that world.

Time passed by and eventually, they succeeded in saving the world. Through many trials, tribulations, and sacrifices– that world was victorious against the lost belts.

Theodore finally can return to his world. That time, Zelretch offered him the way back. That was only a one-time thing and was permitted by Alaya.

Theodore has decided that he would regret it. Because of his stupid sentimentality, he has chosen to stay and spend time in that world. Eventually, he met the family of his parallel self. Entered the politics of the Clock Tower and became a professor and someone discovered that he wasn't Theodorus outside of those people who he trusted who wouldn't divulge his secret. Someone had issued a designation seal on him and it was surprising to find out that it was the Grandfather of the original body. For some years, he was on the run. He didn't seek asylum on the Chaldea since they were also facing the consequences of the events that happened.

Eventually, the designation seal issue was lifted out of him thanks to Zelretch Schweinorg making his move and announcing that Theodore was his Apprentice. Everyone can't do anything to him when he steps into the clock tower again since he has Zelretch Schweinorg backing and protection. He spends his years studying magic and progressing under the Old Marshal's tutelage. He also started learning the Second Magic from Zelretch.

As a result of that, he decided to travel to the different alternative universes of Nasuverse and witness the events that he watched in his world. The stay/night. The zero, El mellow, Apocrypha, Extella, CCC, and even the strange fake. Also, he visited the world of melty blood, Tsuki Hime, the garden of sinners, and the witch on a holy night.

In the Tsuki Hime, he meets Zelretch again and decides to become a Vampire. He knows that the Zelretch of the FGO world wouldn't help him get back on his world because he has already wasted that one-time chance offered to him. It was his fault. So he could only find his way home.

After becoming a vampire, he goes back on the FGO Timeline again and spends time with his friends and watches them pass away. When everything is done and he has no more to learn and things to do in Nasuverse, Theodore decides that it is finally time to start traveling and go home.

He knows that it wasn't easy. It would be very difficult. But he never thought that it would be so hard and his lifespan as a vampire wouldn't be enough.

He travels from world to world and accumulates knowledge and enhances his success on going back to his Earth. He has also made enemies and forced them to battle them. And lastly, he wouldn't forget his daily blood supply every time that he travels in every world.

He doesn't know how much time has passed but Theodore has developed a routine. It was so long, monotonous, and very numbing experience.

He also got his hands stained with blood that he was used to it and doesn't even bat an eyelid over it.

He wondered if it was worth it.

Shouldn't he accept that opportunity?

Or should he just stay in Nasuverse and accept that he wouldn't be able to go back to his world again?

He even started to feel himself getting detached from everything after a long time. His emotions were starting to go numb.

Is his Original world worth the trouble?

Would he even be able to go back there?

He has spent a long time again and again that it was starting to become impossible.

He can feel himself getting weaker.

It was just his luck that he arrived in a dangerous world.

He fought someone and left that world uninjured.

And when he arrived in the next world, he didn't expect the world's some sort of pseudo-consciousness to treat him with some hostility.

It wasn't a really good experience for him. It tried to delete him while he was injured. Thankfully, it failed. But his opinions about self-aware worlds have also decreased.

It was Alaya's fault that any version of Zelretch couldn't help him to go back on his world. So there was only one choice for him and one of them was to keep traveling until he found his home. And for him to do that, he needed to live for a long time. He knows that it wouldn't be an easy journey after all. He decided to turn himself into a vampire.

But as he travels, he realizes that maybe, his lifespan as a vampire isn't still enough.

Still, he manages to enter that world. He would need to replenish his energy and rest. And then, he would eventually leave that world before the consciousness of that world decided to try to delete him again from existence.

But as he thought of those things, Theodore lost consciousness in a very small forest and an inconspicuous part of that world. There he was found by a little half-elf child who was treated miserably by the villagers of the nearby forest.

The child has been called a monster. Every day since the death of his old man, he would encounter various mistreatment every time he entered the village.
Also, he was referred not by the given name by the old man Mormalk but he was mostly called unlucky by the villagers.

The alias has been ingrained in the child. The villagers didn't even bother to call him by the name that was given by the old man Mormalk.

In this world, a name was important. Even in humans. Having been named by old man Mormalk who was a strong adventurer once upon a time was considered a blessing. But now because of name-calling, it seems that over the past few years old man Mormalk has passed away, and the villagers keep calling the child unlucky. The given name given by the adventurer was replaced and acknowledged by the consciousness of this world.

Theodore learning the experience that the child went through can't help but wonder how the child is still so kind. Despite experiencing the cruel treatment of villagers, he has taken care of a stranger that he found in the forest.

He doesn't fight back against the villagers and endure their cruel treatment.

Now that Theodore has given the child some power. He wondered what would the child do to the villagers.

Truthfully, those villagers deserve hideous and cruel things happening to them.

Yet, the child doesn't still fight. Every day since the operation of transferring one of his most important and precious mystic eyes, Theodore was teaching the child to learn magic.

It was somehow satisfying to teach the child the ways of modern magecraft. Theodore also learned that the child has a high affinity with the five elements. Since the child was a half-elf, Theodore wasn't surprised that he had a high affinity with magic.

The child took the lessons seriously. He was diligent. Theodore enjoyed teaching the child the magecraft and magic of Nasuverse converting it and applying it to the rules of this world. Lesson after lesson, Theodore couldn't help but find himself impressed by the child. He was soaking the knowledge like a sponge.

Eventually, Theodore decided that it was time for the child to advance in his other lessons. Using Jasper, the child can't just keep flying and shooting magical beams forever.

It was now time for him to include and install. He was looking forward to it.
