I jumped out of the car excitedly.. greeting Natalie who opened the gates for me, doing a double take to greet uncle Gabriel as I passed him..

"Good day _(Y/N)" he greeted and I pursed my lips in response

"Good Day Uncle, is Adrien home?" I questioned, fidgeting as I excitedly grip the case in my hands.

"He is at the back Garden" he gave me a nod as I looked at the closest door that leads out to the back garden, I grinned at him, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek as I rushed outside. Looking around I spotted a very familiar shade of blond in front of his mother's statue, he eyed the stone longingly, I smiled, Aunt Emily was beautiful, both inside and out, to say I admire the actress was an understatement..

"Hey.." I greeted softly. the blond looked up, offering me a smile as he patted the grass beside him. I obliged, leaning my head against his shoulder as I took his hand in mine trying to comfort him. Two years ago, a year after we started our modeling careers, him being his father's model and I being my Mother's on their first ever fashion collaboration, my Dad and his mom were on the way to see the show, when the accident happened

"I miss her.." he mumbled and I hummed in response, I removed my head from his shoulder and instead, guided his head to my lap and he let me, I slid away slightly to accommodate the unbelievably tall boy's height. I brushed his hair with my fingers as he sighed in content

"I'm sure she misses you too, but you're not allowed to leave me" I joked, looking at him through squinted eyes. he smiled sadly as he reached out to hold my cheek, I froze..

"I would never" he stated passionately making me blink, I grinned

"You better not" I stated, leaning down to give his nose a small kiss. He grinned, closing his eyes

"Let's stay like this for a bit.." he requested, making me pout.

"Fine, but only for ten minutes, I came here to show you something.." I stated grinning as I pulled my hair up in a ponytail. he hummed as I played with his hair, scratching his scalp with the pads of my fingers, slightly pulling at them, classic scalp massage if I do say so myself. I grinned noticing how he was slowly being lulled to sleep. I was excited to show him what I got, but I didn't have the heart to wake him, nor the heart to interrupt the sleep he was about to get..

I stared at Aunt Emily's statue, her face was kind and gentle, her posture dignified and graceful, you could tell that uncle had poured his heart and soul into designing it. How I wish she could see Adrien now, how he became stronger from the boy he was when we lost her. I smiled, my fingers combed through Adrien's hair, distracting me from my numb legs. the boy asleep on my lap looked almost like Aunt Emily, his eyes were bigger though, his lips thinner,  jaw stronger but maybe his resemblance to the woman was the reason as to why uncle was so protective of him, I mean, who wouldn't? He stirred, his brows furrowing and I grinned, drawing lines on his forehead using my finger, he relaxed further making me giggle

"Good morning sleepyhead.." I greeted as his green eyes met mine, he squinted

"_(Y/N)?" he questioned and I nodded as he sat up, rubbing his eyes "I'm sorry, I fell asleep"

"Its fine I wanted to show you something" I grinned eyeing the case I discarded behind me. He stood up patting himself down trying to remove the blades of grass that clung onto him, I smiled sheepishly as he offered a hand out to me.. I took it, trying to tug him back down.. "Umm, the grass feels great right now, let's just sit" I stated, trying to return the feeling onto my legs by moving them, I flinched. I should not have done that.. it would seem that he didn't understand what I meant when I said that, because he pulled me up, I held back a squeal as my feet were planted on the ground, my legs felt like it was a television with only static on it, his eyes widened as I leaned against him, I wasn't fond of the idea of folding my legs to sit back down, nor was I thrilled of the idea of standing straight, I was stuck between a rock and a hard place..

"Are your legs numb? how long was I asleep for?" he questioned worriedly and I gave him a forced smile

"Am fine" I tried to assure him, grimacing as I felt the pain kick in again

"Fine she says" he grumbled, lowering himself a little as he wrapped an arm around my waist, carrying me with ease, I sucked in a deep breath as my legs hit against him "You should've moved me.." he mumbled

"Can't, you were sleeping like a baby.." I teased as he sat me on the bench facing Aunt Emily's statue. he offered a grin, before trudging back to where he laid earlier, taking the wooden case and propping it against the leg on the bench. I sighed in contentment as I leaned against his shoulder, watching the soft glow of the sun on the statue

"Better?" I hummed, bouncing my feet, grimacing and he held on my knee to stop it

"Oww!" I squealed, playfully slapping his shoulder to which he chuckled in return "I hate you" I grumbled, glaring at him playful as he chuckled, wrapping an arm around my shoulder

"So what are you going to show me?" he questioned, but I turned away from him with a playful harrumph

"Nothing" I stated pouting as I slid away from him

"Guess I'll just peak in to the case, I conveniently placed close to me" I eyed him through bug eyes

"Fine.. I'll show you, just give me a minute.."

"You know how to shoot?" he questioned, eyeing the arrow that I shot at the burl of a tree. I grinned proudly

"I learned" I found out that I retained the muscle memory of shooting arrows, though I am still not able to shoot three arrows at a time, nor am I always successful in hitting both targets with two, I'll get there.. I was so excited to find out about it. so excited that I asked mom to call a craftsman to have a bow made for me, I only asked for it earlier today and now, I've got it in my hands.. I grinned "Now we're like those cool protagonists from those cool adventure novels I read, you're the swordsman and am the archer" I stated placing my hands on my hips, throwing a smug grin at him. he chuckled, ruffling my hair

"You're cute" he complimented and I'd grin even wider, if I could. I missed this. Playing around, being childish with him.. I always felt like I had to be mature around him but now, it feels like something's changed, he became strong, strong enough to make me want to relax and lean on him. I don't know, he just seemed different, more cheerful, more outgoing, brighter, like a full moon in a starless night, beautiful and proud "Why are you looking at me like that?" he questioned as if he was weirded out, but his tone told me otherwise, it somehow even seemed smug

"You've got grass stains on your face.. and dried saliva why else would I stare at you?" I teased, giggling as his eyes widened, wiping the side of his lips with his thumb to check "The other side" I continued, chuckling to myself as he checked again, what a goof.
