Manik's pov

I sat on the bed infront nandini... who was sitting on the bed... i looked at her who was all lost in her thoughts since we came back from the hospital... moving my hand to her cheek i cupped her face which made her look at me... i passed her a small smile before asking...

Me: what is bothering you?

She kept looking at me for a few mins then took my hand and placed a soft peck on my palm while the smile was still lingering on my lips... after looking at back she asked with her innocent voice...

Nandini: agar mein tum sy kuch mangu to kya tum wo kar sakty ho! (If i ask you something, will you give me?)
Me: what's with that question! You know i can do anything to fulfill all your wishes!

I spoke without taking a second while my smile was changed with frowns on my forehead... while nandini went silent...

Me: kya hua? Aisa kya chahiye jo tumhy yeh puchna par gaya? (What happened? What do you want that you got the need to ask me about it?)

She looked at me before looking down at my hand which was in her girp...

Me: nandini!

She looked at me and then spoke after pullibg my closer to her...

Nandini: can you marry me this week?

I was taken back by the words which came out of her mouth... looking at her in disbelief i was about to move my gaze when i saw the tears which were threatening to come out... I hurriedly side hugged her saying....

Me: whats wrong with you jaanu? Why are you thinking all this? Of course i will marry you but when you will be all fine!

She looked at me raising her head and spoke lightly...

Nandini: and what if i will never be fine? Won't you marry me then?

I pulled her in my lap and entwined our fingers and the looking at her i told her the truth of my life...

Me: why won't i? You are the person who is my heart, I can't live without you, for that you have to stay, and we are doing this because you want this jaanu, i can spend my whole life with you being in my arms... nandini you are my life! And for you i can do this much at least to make your wishes be completed!

She listened to me silently before putting her head on my chest and spoke...

Nandini: why not now manik? You said you will do anything i want! And this is what i want!

Looking at me she pleaded with her eyes while i took a breath and spoke...

Me: that's because i want you to enjoy everything in our marriage, to let you cherish every happiness which will be around us on our marriage, but if that is what you want then we can do the engagement for now!

A smile came up on her lips making me smile eventually... i put her hair strands behind her ear and then asked her....

Me: what made you think about this?
Nandini: I don't know but the doctor said that there are risks of my life because of anemia, I couldn't think anything else! What if i die?
Me: nandini!

I gave her a stern look making her stop in the middle and then taking a few breaths i spoke...

Me: didn't you listened the next part of that conversation?

She nodded lightly on which I continued...

Me: we will look out for the blood transfusions or the bone-marrow! But one thing is for sure that you and me are going to be together forever!

I nodded with some tears in her eyes and she hugged me tightly... while i held her close to me in my tight grip pushing away all the odds we were having in our lives...
