"mingyu!" seungcheol called out, screaming in the backyard, "it's time to cut the cake!" from the corner of my eye i could see him running to his hyung, almost looking like an excited puppy
it has been about an hour since i spoke with kai. the words he spoke to me left me shaking internally, virgin blood, i thought, a shiver running down my spine
"hey, are you alright?" jeonghan suddenly spoke, standing next to me. i hadn't even noticed he was standing next to me. "yeah i'm fine" i gave him a slightly fake smile. at the moment i was alright, i was just a little shocked at kai's words
"c'mon mingyu's going to cut the cake" i said, changing the topic, grabbing his hand and walking to where the other were in the backyard
there was a table in the middle of the backyard, it had a white clothe over it and lots of plated on it. the cake was two floors with small decorations made of chocolate, the entire cake was made of chocolate and it had strawberries on the top and on a few of the sides. it looked absolutely mouthwatering
everyone started singing happy birthday with a happy tone. everyone in the room was smiling and laughing at mingyu in the middle of the room that didn't know what to do, he just stood there awkwardly standing and clapping along
it's strange seeing all of them in this type of picture. with all his old friends from who knows how many years ago. friendships he's made over the years. it was nice seeing some of the people again, like eunwoo and jaehyun, it brought back a few memories. i might have only met them once but they were kind and they seemed to remember me. but it was surprising to find out that they were vampires, but it made sense
"happy birthday to you!~" they said the last lyric and he blew the cake and smiling brightly, "how old are you birthday boy?" one of the girls screamed, i had come to find out she was named chaeyoung, she was tiny and adorable
"today i am 693!" he spoke with pride laced into his voice, everyone in the room cheered, he had a smile on his face, he looked at the crowd of family and friends and then he looked at me, his eyes not budging from my own eyes, they were filled with happiness and admiration, was it towards me? i was flustered by his stares
